Just tested ours - it's 7.2 download, 0.90 upload. It's normal BT, I think. OH sorted it....much enquiry having been made concerning a gentleman, who had quitted a company where Johnson was, and no information being obtained; at last Johnson observed, that 'he did not care to speak ill of any man behind his back, but he believed the gentleman was an attorney'.0

ok, I'm just going to say this. Every one talks about progress and we admit lightbulbs can be carp now, but it find digital takes ages to turn on, change channel etc, radio and tv.
Rest rest and rest again as much as you can! Never run when you can walk, always sit rather than stand, and lie down to read or watch the TV... Though have to admit I usually just fall asleep if I lie down while watching TV!I'm not sure how much this is an ME/CFS thing, but I find if I'm beginning to flake out just putting my feet up improves my cognitive ability a bit, and generally improves how I feel.
Big hugs and lots of good vibes from Liverpool.
I decided to take yesterday and today 'off' to sleep. I woke up yesterday afternoon but stayed lying down, today I just felt like getting up a couple of hours ago. :j. I'm just going to pootle, not do anything. But a lot of my swelling on head and extremities has gone down, so I feel it was probably right time to get up.
I want to pop out tomorrow morning. I have a dog/ house sitter coming in this week so want to make a nice meal for them and stuff and I want to fill up with petrol. Then I'll nap tomorrow.
These things those of us used to fatigue are sort of second nature, the planning to reduce impact, but for Gen, he won't think of himself , and shouldn't, as so depleted. He just needs a bloody decent holiday, a restful one. Where Activity is possible but not mandatory, so , like me today, he can get up IF he feels like it! and gradually do stuff! and start to pick up fitness again while relaxed during a decent break.0 -
J ust popping in before heading off to work - Is that speed test wireless or with an ethernet cable connected ? If wireless connect with ethernet and retest.
I'll pop back for your answer (between taking BB tech calls for another provider) and follow on with advice if wanted.I Would Rather Climb A Mountain Than Crawl Into A Hole

I remember the TV warming up. Also the picture disappearing to a dot when you turned it off! And an old valve radio I was given which stayed on for a few seconds after you switched off.
I was listening to a fascinating thing about futurology, it was a kinda aside in a podcast. They were saying about how some stuff is relatively easy to predict: this bloke's Popular Electronics magazine predicted the spread of the car, the computer and consumer durables. What it didn't predict was the impact all that would have: women no longer staying at home to raise kids but instead making their own way in the workplace with an ever increasing degree of success.
I'm still so bloody tired after the treatment. Yesterday I had to go for a 40 minute snooze at work in the sick room. Today I thought I was going to fall asleep at my desk. This is driving me bananas.neverdespairgirl wrote: »Just tested ours - it's 7.2 download, 0.90 upload. It's normal BT, I think. OH sorted it.

You must be on fibre, then?
No, cable. For which we overpay.

I'll put that on the list.
Wen we have problems and I call the first question is can you test with a wire and they get very hot under the collar when I say no.
No facility to.
Have to wait til someone else here, so I don't bother to sort it out now,. The switch it on and off again method usually works well enough. Sometimes I am meat to 'forget' it on my macputer or something but I cannot remember how to do that.

Who's your supplier, PN?
BG, I've now got to switch. Want one, probably, with no standing charge. It's tough switching when you've no history as you're guessing. I've signed up to their standard tariff so I can switch.
Gas alone I've used 140 units in 14 months at the old place... but this place is bigger and I might not be quite so tight with it here either
Who knows...0 -
Choose the low user option for an initial estimate. I'm sure michaels will be along at some time to tell you who to use to switch with to get cashback. If he doesn't appear, then using the MSE energy club would be a good place to start. It's meant to tell you who to go with now, who gives you the best deal including cashback and will let you know when to switch again.

Just going through this, bit of a tricky thing though - typical situation where the questions being asked aren't known/relevant to my situation.
e.g. you get to choose if you know how much you use, or how much you spend, or want them to guesstimate for you .... well, I know one precisely, the other I'd like them to guess.
Have to now get to the end of the questions to see what happens/if what I choose makes any difference etc.
Next one is "filter out those that don't give cashback" - dunno, depends if getting cashback/not would make a significant difference.0
