I blame MI5, Prince Phillip and the Swedish police.
...much enquiry having been made concerning a gentleman, who had quitted a company where Johnson was, and no information being obtained; at last Johnson observed, that 'he did not care to speak ill of any man behind his back, but he believed the gentleman was an attorney'.

I know you have said that it's just not that simple to take time off from work, but you need more rest. Minor illness is tiring, major illness and the radio is just plain exhausting!

Far too identifying - there's only four of us in the UK!

Edit: I did try to PM, but you are full.

Yeah. I need to take a couple of months off to recover. I can't though so work has to put up with 6 months of me below par before I leave in Jan. Then I reckon I have another 18-24 months until I can do something less pointless with my life than working for idiots like this.

I'm quite angry at the moment.

They (as in BT) say it takes 10 daysto sort itself out. Itwill drop off and all sorts before it settles.

The 10 days settling in applies to BT Infinty, Doozer, not plain broadband, which I believe PN is on.

Just ran in internet speed test.
    Download speed 1.06Mb/sec
    Upload speed 0.345Mb/sec

As with all these things.... I'll now have to go and see how this compares. It's certainly feeling slow.

That's slow. It all depends on the distance from your house to the exchange, you can find out here : http://www.samknows.com/broadband/exchange_search

If you are 3-4 miles or more from your exchange, you can forget about getting anything near the speed you signed up for.

Is this BT infinity or BT's normal offering?

I'm getting 21.25Mb download, 2.06Mb upload. I suspect I'm paying more than you.

We're on the Infinity 38Mb package and we get pretty much that speed.
I love it. My wife can watch Celebrity Bake Off on iPlayer in HD while I stream all those naughty videos PN keeps sending me. :)

I remember the TV warming up.

    Me too!
Wednesday afternoon 3PM was time to watch Uncle Bob and Aunt Terry (kiddies programme on Belgian national TV).
The TV had to be switched on around 2.55
Also take into account a minute to sort out the 'rolling picture' which could often be solved with a swift tap on top of the telly.
If that didn't work, you'd call the TV repair man, who took out the circuit board, soldered a new capacitor or resistor on it and it was good for another couple of months.

Anger is good .... and being angry on the internet is good too as nobody can come round and pop you on the nose :)

Feel free to be as angry as you like. It's your turn, for sure!

I remember the TV warming up. Also the picture disappearing to a dot when you turned it off! And an old valve radio I was given which stayed on for a few seconds after you switched off.

I just about remember that - we didn't have a TV till I was about 8/9, so only saw it when we went to stay with my Grandparents in Dolgellau. Oh, and very occasionally our next door neighbour would invite us in so I could watch Andy Pandy. I used to cry when he waved goodbye! :o

I'm still so bloody tired after the treatment. Yesterday I had to go for a 40 minute snooze at work in the sick room. Today I thought I was going to fall asleep at my desk. This is driving me bananas.

Rest rest and rest again as much as you can! Never run when you can walk, always sit rather than stand, and lie down to read or watch the TV... Though have to admit I usually just fall asleep if I lie down while watching TV! :o I'm not sure how much this is an ME/CFS thing, but I find if I'm beginning to flake out just putting my feet up improves my cognitive ability a bit, and generally improves how I feel.

Big hugs and lots of good vibes from Liverpool.
