It does sound like a really good result. However, I notice that Michaels has not thanked your post. This could be because your purchase did not involve the use of vouchers. Very keen on vouchers is our Michaels. Or perhaps you needed to pay with American Express?Doozergirl wrote: »It's the developers not thinking things through. Having just redone three bathrooms in a 10 year old house (our first foray into the world of new build), the waste of space and poor design is astonishing. If I'd have known before we started, I'd have moved the cardboad walls that came off with the tiles.
No plumber ran the tap and told whoever designs these things that the tap/plug placement causes the user a dousing. Specifier probably couldn't care less anyway - it would have been dirt cheap in bulk.
Do you do design options as well as the build? I don't know what is practical/realistically achievable? It's getting harder & harder to keep the government in the manner to which they have become accustomed.0 -
I have quite a few courgettes in the fridge...and more that need picking.
I also have my first home grown cucumber. It really is delicious...the best cucumber I have ever tasted:o
Cucumbers are definitely on the list of things to grow each year, like courgettes and runner beans.
One of the tomato plants is looking a bit sick, so OH reptted it and took off the limp leaves. We will see what happens.
Lettuces are finished now, and I did not succession sow. Have put some more seeds in, but will be buying lettuce for a few weeks.
Home grown cucumber is the bomb. My dad stopped talking to me a year or 2 ago, when I didn't plant any one year!
In the heat, make sure you're watering the toms enough. As time passes, prune non-fruit bearing branches off, as they're a waste. Remember to feed them each week too. It's getting harder & harder to keep the government in the manner to which they have become accustomed.0 -

These will be mainly for moths I think. ( I also have huge bunches of rosemary drying for moths.....we have lots of moths) two bunches might stay in the kitchen for good cheer.Doozergirl wrote: »I've spent the last week or so trying to think of a name for a kitchen company. I had an idea of how I wanted it to sound - creative, a bit playful, friendly, an easy sort of thing for people to remember as a phrase - in a networking environment as a prime example.
I'm listing things and think I've just stumbled on something - it's not what I had in mind. A not very often used adjective but I think it describes my values well and I can see how it could be marketed in a playful way. The domain is available, which helps, but people might not be able to spell it easily.
Bit thrown. Worried it might just sound like any other kitchen company to people. If anyone has any burning ideas, please throw some my way.
I'd suggest yam yams, but I'd probably be your only customer & no-one else would get it...:oDoozergirl wrote: »The name is never going to be as important to anyone as it is to the person that owns it. People make fortunes coming up with company names and logos - creating 'brands' for people. According to this blog, every letter and sylable seems to count. Colours are also important in brands to convey messages. Maybe it's all entirely made up! I do think that typefaces are important - some look terribly unprofessional, but I'm the sort of person that gets upset when you get a rogue employee who writes in something other than the company font.
My initial thoughts for names were definitely in the vein that you're suggesting - perfection was a word, couturier - but no one is going to spell that and it sounds poncy. It's getting harder & harder to keep the government in the manner to which they have become accustomed.0 -
Lavender supposedly repels moths.
Let's hope.
Conkers are failing , we have cedar wood thingies. I hate the smell of moth balls.0 -

Lob conkers into corners to get rid of spiders.... allegedly.
I love conkers. Would love to go conkering. We used to go on the common when I was growing up. Just used to pick up a dozen or so from the ground, but I remember it.0 -
Is the numbering even sequential? Maybe it's 1, 11, 21, 31 like some US house numbering systems.
I remember reading that Lou Grades GTV studios in Manchester had only two TV studios but he numbered them 4 and 6 to make it the whole business look bigger.;)
Love that! :rotfl:Everything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.

Hmm, we're likely to be less money for cream buns if it turns out to be so, as may have to be differently insured. So its a cost liability!0
