Everything you've said so far about your house, it sounds rather lovely, little problems like taps and gates excepted. At least they are little bits that need sorting. Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? I also found the bathroom tap tricky. Nevermore splashing the sink, I got the floor too
It's nice when an independent witness reports the same woes I have .... proves that I don't sit and moan, but these things really are an issue and not "just me"
I swear some people just think I moan for the sake of it! I work hard to find legitimate things to moan about0 -

That's a magnificent achievement! Maybe we should ask which NP has the tap with the furthest spray radius ... but you probably already won.0 -
Is that all you need to do? Cut it off and tie it upside down? For how long do you leave it? Then what? I have 2 overgrown bushes that gather bees too near the BBQ area.PasturesNew wrote: »Do you have to harvest it?
What happens, or not, if you don't?
What'll you do with it?
Yes.
You need to dry it if you want to keep it unless you are using it fresh.
Then nothing! Store if using for food / tea. Display if using for decorative purposes.
You cannot cut into old wood of lavender, only into the green growth.
You don't have to harvest it, most people want to prune it for decorative/ gardening reasons and the two can be combined.
If you do not the plant goes very woody and top heavy. I think that's rather beautiful in a border, and very good for bees etc, so plan to leav some like that. These plants are lining/ being grown to line a bed/ path, so the aim is to keep them bushy and not too loose.
These will be mainly for moths I think. ( I also have huge bunches of rosemary drying for moths.....we have lots of moths) two bunches might stay in the kitchen for good cheer.0 -
I've spent the last week or so trying to think of a name for a kitchen company. I had an idea of how I wanted it to sound - creative, a bit playful, friendly, an easy sort of thing for people to remember as a phrase - in a networking environment as a prime example.
I'm listing things and think I've just stumbled on something - it's not what I had in mind. A not very often used adjective but I think it describes my values well and I can see how it could be marketed in a playful way. The domain is available, which helps, but people might not be able to spell it easily.
Bit thrown. Worried it might just sound like any other kitchen company to people. If anyone has any burning ideas, please throw some my way.Everything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.

I'm glad we got different sorts, the bunches look so incredibly different.
Some have gone rather over.
I have a long way to go, but doing it one variety at a time.
It looks very pretty. I love lavender.
The chimney looks like it's been there foreverEverything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.

The Food Station ....?
Kwizine? (obviously spelling issues for people there)
Fit to Eat...?
I guess it depends if the core specialism is: designing from scratch, fitting off the shelf stuff, bespoke joinery and fitting .... or what.
It's good to emphasise the benefits of a product/service, not its functional parts, so a name that demonstrates their improved lifestyle from the end result.
Cabinets, Curtains and Cute Stuff = functional
Perfect Hostess and Party Queen = improved lifestyle.0 -
Bergamot
I have courgettes but its too hot to troop over there ATM.0 -

It's catchy, light, quality feel and the domains are available.0 -
Who's your target customer Dooz? Also, are you offering a full service or supply only? Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing?
