You're welcome any time. Self invited or not (I'm not good at extending usable invites) ....

And those aren't just words. So many pubs that salty sea dogs could be found down here.... and I could help to track one down for you.

Or, we could go back to the the pub with the Bentley at the door ... if you fancy something a bit more up market :) I think I'll sit in the car, it looks like the sort of place where we'd have to have a whip round for a drink and still only be able to afford one.

Nah, Bentley Schmentley. Takes more than that to impress me! We could sit in the car park with a bag of chips watching feral children nearly getting themselves run over.

You're welcome here too. Can't offer you seaside on the doorstep, but if you wanted a local base for going down memory road I hope you know my offer of staying here (with the freedom to come and go as you please) is genuine and always there.

I should point out that I'm perfectly capable of acting like a nightmare. Can't promise you'd see just about the best of me a second time.

    Oh dear..... This is awful.

It takes a truly special lack of talent to c0ck it up this badly with the budget they had to play with.

I assumed there was no budget and that was the problem. How
    Much is this costing?!

Which also grates with the charity appeal. Would have been better just to give the cash to charity IMO.

£21 million for the two ceremonies alone, out of a total budget of £474m.

There's a time and place for a charity plug and I don't think the opening ceremony was it.

It was probably used up in expenses, lunches and free booze months ago.
