2014 just keeps on giving.
I took Mrs Generali and the Generalissimos ice skating on Saturday and right at the end came an almighty cropper. I had a bit of a sore neck yesterday but then this morning woke up with the worst back pain I've ever had. It's terrible. I'm sitting in A&E awaiting the doctor.
@NDG - Mrs Generali studied Commerce. In the UK I suspect it would have been called Accounting. No idea why they give it a different name here. It's the degree course that sets you up to start your Accounting professional exams.
Ratatouille is yum. The trick is to cook the onions and aubergine first and add the pepper and courgette later so it doesn't turn to a slop. The one thing that (almost) everyone misses when they make it is lavender. I didn't like aubergine but it's a favourite of Mrs Generali so I have leant to like it.0 -
Gen - hope your back is ok
PN - how is your back today?0 -
I've been sent home with strong painkillers and instructions to rest and move about a bit too.0

The trick is to remember that once you're over 30 you're over the hill .... and sit all activities outRatatouille is yum. I've only ever tried it twice, in a works' canteen about 30 years ago. It was minging.... watery and lots of (nasty) aubergine and courgette in it... two things I hate. I like the idea of ratatouille, just not the ingredients.
I don't think I'd like aubergine, no matter how far I lean0 -

PN - how is your back today?
Not a sausage. No pain, nothing yesterday, whatsoever. As I said, the root cause was being an unfit lardy, not actually a "back issue" as such
How's your eye?
It's a blue-skied, cloudless scorcher here today .... would have been an ideal choice for a sickie.0 -

Off to DS's graduation today, at least it will be cool inside Canterbury Cathedral! Queueing outside will be hot though. I'm going to take my deeply uncool sunhat - it's actually a man's hat; my head is too big for female hats.0

Good luck with that... queueing in the hot won't be nice.
My head's too small for most adult hats.... leaving me stuck with a too tight kiddie hat or an overly big adult hat. Probably why I've not had many hats (only ones have ever been bobble hats and recently a woollen winter knitted hat with ear protection flaps
It is a SCORCHER.... pack wet wipes.0 -
