There really is no need to send me money. I have a few days (3?) paid leave (holiday) remaining and I am leaving this job now anyway. I got put forward for a new position on Friday which I should at the very least get an interview for.

Oh and I just wanted to add that it's a really kind offer and genuinely appreciated but don't feel the need to send me money just because you feel the need to 'do something'. The amazing support that I've had on here has been more than I could ever expect or hope for.

I was hoping you would see it as a day off rather than money. Is there anyhting we can do for you then, I know you would do something to help any of us out if you were in a positon to do so.

I am pretty broke but that is because we've spent 4 years putting Mrs Generali through Uni so we've had the costs of 2 people working and only 1 income. There's some debt incurred as a result and not of the cushy low interest UK student sort.

Whilst I really do appreciate the offer, and it's a beautiful thing to do, there really isn't any need to do this. Mrs Generali is working now and you've all done the best possible thing for me already: been there to listen to me whige about how crappy my life is and to be supportive and non-judgemental.

Buy me a beer or a glass of wine when I get to England at Xmas (I can't have a G'n'T as I still rent).

The two are not mutually exclusive. The former is also a gift for your children and mrs gen.

I might not be able to see you at Christmas, would you deny a sick woman who wishes you were her brother from doing something kind for your family? You old meany!

We've just ( boring old sods that we are, hamish) sorted out a box of light bulbs. We have a carrier bag full of old style bulbs, non energy saving ones.

Tip, or do some people still want these?
