Well, the e-L was pretty much common sense as I remember it ... how not to leave your laptop on a train, how not to let someone see your laptop screen when working on sensitive documents on the train, how not to let someone into your office without a security pass :doh:0

I think he looks fab. The red really suits him. He definitely gets his looks from his mum!
Hope he has a great time tonight
Aww thanks...
It didn't go quite so smoothly when he was getting ready this evening, he was almost at melt down and for a while, I really thought he was not going to do it but he did...albeit very grumpily and stressy getting into the car.
He started to calm down a little once we reached the meeting place for the vintage bus which some of his friends had hired and was all smiles by the time they left (although still a little twitchy)
After the hassle of getting him actually into his suit and in the car, I will forgive him for his wonky waistcoat!
And finally smiling! We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.0 -

And red was the colour of choice...so really joining in. Well done him.0 -
After Mr Spirit got hoe form club tennis and had supper we went out to celebrate my health being stable. To the pub where the LL is a good buddy and where he has also had a tough time health wise.
So drinking with a friend..many drinks on hm... OH was driving and I have had far more than I usually drink...having also had half abottle of white before I went out.
Hope I sleep well and have no ill effects. May not be lucky on that as I really do not drnk much usually and am outside my normal limits.0 -
Sometimes life deals you a bad hand and sometimes a good one. .
Heh....
Won't bore you all with details, but I once lost an excessively large amount of money, to a person I detested, on a poker hand that statistically was almost never beatable.
Several lessons learned that night. None of them fun.
Fast forward a few years and things swung right back around in my favour in a business deal, where I had no idea it was that person I was up against, and where they never saw it coming, but with the effective 'payback' being an order of magnitude greater than what I lost in the first place.
Not sure there's a moral in that story anywhere actually..... Other than to say you never know when things will swing back your way, but they always seem to eventually, so 'chin up' in the meantime.
I'm off back to my single malt now.“The great enemy of the truth is very often not the lie – deliberate, contrived, and dishonest – but the myth, persistent, persuasive, and unrealistic.
Belief in myths allows the comfort of opinion without the discomfort of thought.”

Years ago, a mate had taken up golf a while earlier and he gave me his old clubs. He said to me, "If you use 'em, keep 'em. If you don't, make sure you pass them on. No charge".
Did that with a car we paid £75 for, to get a few weeks use from.
I often see it driven by the person we gave it to, so it seems that they get some enjoyment from something I couldn't be bothered to sell.💙💛 💔0 -
My grandma died in 1994. She'd had her sofa for a couple of years at that point - good thing, bought from
house of Reeves (the shop in Croydon that was burned down and used as the 'poster boy' of the London riots in 2011.
I think my aunt gave it to her mother in law - not exactly sure who, but it left that house after a few years and continued its journey. My aunt was shocked when it turned up again in around 2010 in one of her friend's houses in Blackpool. She invited me to go and sit on it!Everything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.

Chin up and chin chin!
I'm taking the Generalissimos ice skating along with Mrs Generali for her birthday. They make amazing hot chocolate here. Nom, nom, nom. I've got lamb shanks in the slow cooker for when we get back, some home made rillettes and a batch of puff pastry ready for tarte tatin.0 -

Menu being discussed here is whether to defrost beef and tripe, tripe strait up or lamb for tomorrow.0
