Oh dearie me,he will be disappointed. And he'd gone to great length to make a special dish - his famed baked squirrel, fennel and ferret medley.Once eaten, never forgotten!
I hope you enjoyed the omelette.Paid for my monthly train ticket this morning...always feel a little sick thinking about how much of my hard earned money goes on just getting to work!
Don't count it as a spend though as it is necessary...reckon I'll get another today. Sadly after a much better start to the month, I'm already at the point of only being allowed 3 more spendy days this month...
I do the same, and don't include travel costs.
Would you like to lower your target? Some months are like that. You start off on great form, and then life gets in the way,and suddenly you find yourself with too many spendy days.NewbieJosh wrote: »NSD 3
Been a tough one today as I accompanied a family member to one of the big 4 supermarkets. In my area their is two fast food joints and a well known Italian restaurant next to the supermarket, so it was very tempting to just pop in for something small.
Still I prevailed! :T:T
I am very impressed!
Igor (our resident chef, who can't tell the difference between a coffee cup and an antique spittoon that has been in his family for generations, and of which he is very fond )is still going on about his famed squirrel/fennel and ferret medley,if you fancy a quick snack.Apparently it's better than any other fast food out there. So he says anyway.:D:rotfl::rotfl:
Will today be #4 for you.....I'm impatient to find out!:)0 -
:rotfl: If only, I'd be DF by now. First email sent this morning at 7.52am....just logged off now.
sometimes we need to loosen our belts a little to have a breather in order to regain focus on our targets. As long as we recognise that, I think that's ok. Do you find clothes hard because of the fit, or because you don't see things you actually like?
Well, laptop going down soon, been at it too long today. Going to watch Dawn O'Porter's Vintage show on C4.
That must be really hard, doing a lot of overtime.Do you get any kind of compensation, like a bonus?
I find it hard to actually find clothes that I like, that suit me,and find using the changing rooms a complete stress. For a few years now, when I find something I really like,I buy more than one.I think that I've found my way back onto the straight and narrow though,budget-wise.0 -
Today was going to be a spendy day,but I've worked out that my salary will go down by a 1/6 in October, and a 1/3 in January 2015,and am starting to act straightaway to reduce my spends. So,I cancelled my electrolysis appt (usually once a week at 20 francs),and whatever shopping I'd planned (A light bulb, washing up liquid, some NA beers and some ice lollies) and will now wait until Monday.I'm going to go through my budget in detail,as a lot of changes will have to be made, but I'm feeling very positive about it.I love a challenge like this.
With the electrolysis,I'll see how once every two weeks goes-still need it for the 'tache.:o
So,today is #13,which means that my second target is been reached!
My third target is 16.0 -
Knit Witch it's sorted now!0

Thank you haha! :A
Yes it is a great feeling. Knowing that in four days I've saved myself £8.97 on fast food is amazing. Just goes to show the hidden cost of things that you don't see when your enticed into a restaurant after seeing a £2.99 meal deal offer.
When I was in school the routine used to be to go into the town centre and go to either McDonalds or KFC and would normally go either every school day and usually once on the weekend OR around 3/4 times every school week.SAVING FOR THE FUTURE AS OF JULY 2014

And please give a warm Ennessdee Towers welcome to my Number 7 NSD!!!
Amazing what 12 hours confined to the workplace can do......
Ok, Igor, I know it is a fortnight away, but you need to start preparing the Roman baths for the end of month party....you need not think any of our refined and genteel members are getting in the pool after you've been washing your second-best Sunday Y-fronts in it!
Not to mention Hubert's daily swimming lesson.......memo to self, do urgent Approved Foods order for consignment of super-strength Dettol....One life - your life - live it!0
