Tomorrow is back to the hospital (car parking fee), and I'm hoping to take the friend who helped out last week for a meal (so no NSD)
Friday we're off to Grasmere to stock up on gingerbread (bye bye NSD and any hope of finding my wastline again any time soon :rotfl:)Cheryl0 -

Paid for my monthly train ticket this morning...always feel a little sick thinking about how much of my hard earned money goes on just getting to work!
Don't count it as a spend though as it is necessary...reckon I'll get another today. Sadly after a much better start to the month, I'm already at the point of only being allowed 3 more spendy days this month...Debt Free I FFEF I Building Savings I 2025 Plan:- Regular Savings £8,200/£10,000

NSD 3
Been a tough one today as I accompanied a family member to one of the big 4 supermarkets. In my area their is two fast food joints and a well known Italian restaurant next to the supermarket, so it was very tempting to just pop in for something small.
Still I prevailed! :T:TSAVING FOR THE FUTURE AS OF JULY 2014

calling today NSD #8 as I'm still at work and have avoided the biggest temptation to spend, knowing it was going to be a late one I was starving at 5pm and thinking about getting food to see me through...went for a cuppa instead to trick my stomach into thinking there was food in it and found a plethora of treats (must be someone's birthday) so I'm on a sugar high to keep me going another couple of hours before collapsing on the train!Debt Free I FFEF I Building Savings I 2025 Plan:

:rotfl: If only, I'd be DF by now. First email sent this morning at 7.52am....just logged off now.marmiterulesok wrote: »As some of you know,I am off-sick from work long-term (since last November).I still get sick pay,my full salary for a year. After a year,it's reduced to 80% for three months.Taking various factors into account, from October I will have a reduced salary. With my job, when off sick,we are well 'protected',as I work for the state.I'm very fortuanate.
I had a meeting yesterday with two of my doctors, and I was able clarify a few things salary-wise.
For the last wee while,I have been spending more liberally on clothes, things for the garden, that kind of thing. The clothes buying always involved items at a reduced price with vouchers,or in the sales, which meant that they were easier to justify.Mind you,I have a problem with clothes buying.I always find it difficult finding clothes that I like,so when I do find something,I often buy two or three of the same thing.I also bought some bras (haven't bought any for maybe 5-6 years.).I'm not quite sure that I needed to buy six (same style, two of each in three different colours)! In order to pay this massive cc bill,I had to plunder quite a few of my non-essential budgeted money funds.
Thankfully, for a few weeks now,I've got my sensible hat on again, and feel 100% motivated to start getting used to a smaller salary. The sensible hat stays on from now on.
sometimes we need to loosen our belts a little to have a breather in order to regain focus on our targets. As long as we recognise that, I think that's ok. Do you find clothes hard because of the fit, or because you don't see things you actually like?
Well, laptop going down soon, been at it too long today. Going to watch Dawn O'Porter's Vintage show on C4.
Oh, and NSD #8 in the bagFeb 2015 NSD Challenge 8/12JAN NSD 11/16
