The Good Ole Boys, marmite? I thought they had been run out of town after the last NSD gang [STRIKE]fiasco[/STRIKE]shindig?
Well, if they are going to do their half time drag queen cabaret act, please tell them to keep their sparkly stilettos out of Hubert's way - either he'll nick them or leave a little "present" in them, if you know what I mean....and there will be enough foul odours around tonight as it is, with all those sweating horses and muscly, chariot-driving, loin-cloth and toga-wearing gladiator blokes....(DOWN, Nargle!....)One life - your life - live it!0 -

I've always thought that pole dancing needs great strength, style and suppleness. The thing is,like a lot of sports, when you see it done by professionals, they make it look so easy.
I hope your knee mends soon.:)
I'm feeling a bit like an old crone now...
I can't do it anywhere near as well as those pics, but not bad for a first week. A lot of it is core strength and the ability to hold / support your own body weight , that and apparently stop having any nerve endings in all manner or wired and wonderful places lol. I'm really not very flexible at all. There's a girl in our class who have lovely long limbs and is sooooo bendy, if I ever manage to touch my head with my feet could someone please take me to a&e because it won't be by design :rotfl:
Soooo, Nargle, what time is the first chariot race.....errr....no, I don't believe Russel Crowe does need help with his gladiator outfit, and it's is Scotsmen who don't wear anything under their kilts, not gladiators so stop trying to check :rotfl:Feb 2015 NSD Challenge 8/12JAN NSD 11/16

Awww kerri you spoilsport! And who got in first with Mr Crowe? S'not fair!
Anyway, looks like a good turnout here at the Coliseum (aka Ennessdee Towers back garden, skilfully transformed by Igor and co).....I see everyone is in full Roman dress, even if a little bling-ey......pity sunglasses weren't invented then, so many sequins are dazzling us........I see Igor lining all the chariots up for the start of race inspection......ok, so what have we got here.....One life - your life - live it!0 -
Lovely outfit, cw, that pink Roman lady tunic goes well with your cast....I know the gladiator you've hired is well fit, but do you think it is wise to sit in the chariot behind him like that? You realise the speed these vehicles can get up to? Ah, I see....the faster he drives it, the faster his gluteus maximus vibrates......sod the 'Elf n Safety, of course you need a good view.......
Beanie looking scrumptious as ever, having been very MSE and turned last month's pink fairy frock into a Roman slave girl cozzie....bit of a hairy horse, isn't it? Oh, it's an Irish Wolfhound......
JackieO - I am at a loss for words. Not only has she brought the kids' rocking horse, she has gone and put a big skateboard under it - now that must be cheating!
Marmite - is your horse deformed? It seems to have a gormless expression on its face.....I don't believe it! It's a blooming pantomime horse! With Igor at the front end.......but who is that at the back end???????Must investigate....One life - your life - live it!0 -
And there's Hubert harnessed to the food wagon......wearing roller skates?? Well, if that food on that wagon came from Igor's kitchen, then it looks like pizzas again tonight!
Ok everyone, on the starting line........ready, steady, GO!
And off they all go, on the NSD gang chariot race......must go and follow their progress...oh, and Knitwitch? Keep knitting, woman! We need more laurel crowns.......and I hope kerri's ok getting the entertainment stuff set up and ready.....One life - your life - live it!0 -

Sorry was off watching the Brazilian shambles (not a new Essex craze ) errr, so who was the back end of the pantomime horse with Igor? Based on the personal effects I've suffered from his cooking I don't fancy their chances
Oh. And nsd #5...nearly forgot in the excitement of not eating Igors buffet.....
Now, Russel, Russel *waves* coo'eeeee, over here you strapping skirt wearing gladiator, no, it's not you I want, but your gladiator outfit would be awesome for my next pole routine :rotfl:Feb 2015 NSD Challenge 8/12JAN NSD 11/16

The morning after.....well Nargle and kerri,I imagine you're feeling a tad fragile this morning.Soooo,Hubert came in first, despite only coasting on three out of four roller skates. That's some feat!He subbed in a sparkly high-heeled number? That explains it!
Igor crashed out after knocking back too many Roman cocktails, wow, that's a first!I heard that he went off in a strop when the pantomime horse's back legs mysteriously disappeared, thus scuppering his plans on [STRIKE]world domination[STRIKE][/STRIKE][/STRIKE],no,sorry,winning the race....Shall I do us all some breakfast?Scrambled eggs, toast, muesli, yogurt and coffee-how does that sound?Who needs some Paracetamol?0 -
