e2save t&cs for a price match phone??

How can you get an invalid postcode?
There is no mystery - that will be a Box code (different to a geographical address). (CW1 is definitely the code for Crewe).0 -
A lot of these so called "price match" offers look absolutely amazing at first glance. However, anyone thinking of taking out these contracts, BEWARE!
These are different from their normal terms and conditions and should you fail in any one cashback claim for any reason, then you lose your entitlement to ALL future claims. I personally would NEVER EVER consider such contracts under any circumstances.
It's a great pity that a respected company such as Carphone Warehouse, which E2save is part of, have seen fit to resort to tactics aimed at catching people out like some of the many unsavoury cowboys out there.0 -

Totally agree , just coming to the end of my second contract via e2save with no problems, would never believe that they would stoop this low to have terms and conditions that are designed to make you fail, when you try to find a deal under their old t & c's they are pretty rubbish compared to the deals they used to do and all are 18 month deals.Looks like the demise of good deals on monthly contracts with a resonable company!!!!!sanfly0 -
I am going through the terms and conditions of "price match clearance" offers and it is clear to me that you need to stay with contract for thirteen months in order to claim thae last (5th claim)
For the fifth claim they need a bill showing that you have been connected on the contarct for 360 days. You will only get this bill after one year from the first bill.In fact this bill will be for the thirtneeth month( as they charge one month in advance)
Surely the offer should be described as xx months free on 13 month contract ?Snootchie Bootchies!0 -
Not true. This is old news and really not a problem.0

I just receive a letter today saying I have claimed too early for my cheque back and therefore I am disqualified for the rest of my chequebacks.
I was totally stressed out when I saw this. How could they do this? I started to contact cashback service line, I called and called but the line seems always busy. When I finally got connected I was told I was on the queue. I waited for about 20 mins somebody finally picked the phone. According to him, I failed the claim although I have attached the right airtime bill because I can only start claiming after 120 days connection. I didn't notice such condition as I always double check with the "remember to:" list. I spend 50 mins with the customer service guy and a lady manager try to solve the problem but they simply say no.
The letter is:
Dear xx,
We have receive your "cashback" claim information, however it has been sent too early for the claim periods of your offer.
All of our offers have set claim periods. As your claim has been received after the allotted time frame your claim has been rejected, under the Price Match Terms & Conditions', which govern the cashback deal which you agreed to.
As a result of your cashback being rejected you are ineligible to claim for any future claims associated with this phone offer. Unfortunately, we are unable to enter into further correstpondence with regards to this purchase, and cannot return your original paperwork.
From your"Price Match Terms and Conditions":
"Where a valid claim has not been received by us within one calendar month of the required bill, which is the closing date for your claim. You will not be entitled to any part of the Cash Back Offered. Cash back files are closed and cannot be reopened in these cases."
Yours sincerely,
Cashback Team.
I was so shocked to receive this letter as how ridiculous the t&c sounds. My contract is 12 months and I pay £40 per month, it promised me to give me all my money back by claiming chequeback when I signed up.
I never have seen any "Price Match Terms and Conditions" with my contract. All I have is a half A4 sales invoice with tiny print T&C at the back.
Anybody please have any idea how can I get my money back?
Your suggestion is highly appreciated.
Thanks!

You have made some basic errors - number one being you didn't seek out, read and copy the t&c which WERE and ARE on there. However, they obviously don't know what they're doing! Their letter states quite clearly that the claim was received AFTER the allotted time frame. It hasn't been - THAT is only starting around about now. Since they also state they won;t get into further correspondence, draft a Letter Before Action and sue. It's actually a GREAT position for you to be in; NOW you can sue for ALL the cashback plus costs in one go and are almost certain to win if you get your act together. A LOT of people are now getting these letters; but many of those who DO send in the right bill etc. under the legal t&c are going to also get a nasty shock pretty soon now, as I've been warning for quite some time before the first lot of claims are made under these t&c. I repeat for general interest (yet again!); your experiences in the past with this company mean little now!0

I had problem with e2save since they change T&C, I did not have problembs with them before. I doubt they changed cashback team lately. I should have sent them the bill which shows I have been connected for 4 months, ie the 5th bill, but i sent 4th bill which is the wrong bill and claim money one month early. received letter from them saying because i sent my claim too early, my future cash claim will all be rejected, which was nonsense as I read my T&C carefully that only when I send my claim too late that my cash claim will be invalid. sent letter to their complain dept defending myself and also sent them my 5th bill - the right one - before the closing date. yesterday I received a letter from their complain dept saying because my first claim was rejected, my future claim will all be invalid, my T&C only says early claim is only subject to £10 admin fee, not losing £420 for a 12month contract. It is going to be a long battle.
I am so disappointed because I always thought e2save was good website to purchase mobile phone and let many friends be aware of this website. not any more:mad:0
