May sound a bit corny, but have you looked at Blackpool? You can have a civil service in the Town Hall then get a horse drawn taxi to your reception -there are any number of hotels for reception and/or guests. I'm looking at the Imperial for my wedding - they also do civil ceremonies there.2021 Decluttering Awards: ⭐⭐🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇 2022 Decluttering Awards: 🥇

Siren13577 - I have also earmarked the Alicia. I love that room that overlooks the park and am quite happy to get married in there if it rains. The only thing that lets it down is the cost of drinks £20 per bottle of wine & the cost of the hotel rooms.
I've been to Leasowe Castle and it wasn't for me. I love the look of the Devonshire from the outside, i'll have to get a brochure.
Floss - You won't believe this but was looking at a hotel in Blackpool a couple of nights ago. It was really lovely. Can't find the name of it now but i'll post it on here when I do. The Imperial looks beautiful, just asked for a call back off them.0 -
Floos, This is the one I was talking about, The Grand Hotel, Blackpool - www.the-grand.co.uk0

hi
Have you tried either the Lee Wood Hotel in Buxton, or even the Palace Hotel in Buxton. My daughter is getting married at the Lee Wood in December and their prices are reasonable.:beer:0 -
oooooh no, gonna have a nosey now.
Got some brochures this morning of Walton Hall, Warrington. It looks really nice & very reasonable prices too. Has anyone heard of it?0 -
Yes, it's really lovely, very grand staircase & landing with beautiful stained glass. Couple of rooms downstairs, one with a dance floor, then a couple upstairs too, and gorgeous grounds. Used to be home to the Greenall family.
The gardens are open 7 days, but you may have to check when the Hall is open for a nosey round. Nearest hotel is the DeVere Daresbury Park (pricey but nice for you!), or the Travel Inn/Travel Lodges on either A56 over the M56 or on A49/M56 at Stretton, which are both a bit of a hike.2021 Decluttering Awards: ⭐⭐🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇 2022 Decluttering Awards: 🥇

Can I just say Croxteth Hall is not a great idea as the public are all in the park at the same time, plus the ice cream van! Also I'm afraid I wouldn't touch the Devonshire with a barge pole. Both my sister and I had our receptions at the Alicia, don't know about an actual ceremony, but it was really nice?
How about Formby hall golf club ( don't know if they do actual weddings?)0 -

I have only heard good things from Bride's about Walton hall ,and it defo has the wow factor that I think you would like.
It's a nice trip out for a visit, and a nice pub nearby for quick shandy afterwards:rotfl: think it's called the Walton Arm's0 -
Yup, it is a nice pub! Walton Hall was where the wedding was on the Big Day on bbc1 tonight....and the reception was at Arley Hall (where quite a few Corrie weddings have been filmed)2021 Decluttering Awards: ⭐⭐🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇 2022 Decluttering Awards: 🥇
