  • Just reading through this and am thinking it's because of the floods that the op is not answering, maybe her house is underwater like many more this month.
    Just a thought.

I think she's in Hampshire - and we've not had the floods down here really at all - unless she lives right by a river then probably not.

I hope you're OK HM - if you're reading & not posting, please jsut let one of us know you're alright.

  • Hi All

Many thanks for all the PM's & all the support you have shown me over the past months- its really meant a lot.I did log on a few times & was about to post & i just lost my bottle & logged off again. Things have just been all over the place at the moment. We have spent a long time talking & going over things, i told him i wasnt happy, to the point that i seriously seriously considered leaving. I told him that no one had ever made me feel like he did- that he treated me like an idiot, like a child & like a nobody. There was a lot of arguing about what had happened, whilst i admit that me lying about the debts played a part in everything i said that his issued were nothing to do with me. I found a friend in his mother who he had obviously been speaking to because she phoned me up to ask what was going on- so i told her everything- so she gets an insight as to what her son is like, she tells me she knew he was like this because when she has been down- when he says what to do & what not to do. I told him that im not living by his rules and that i dont have to put up with his rubbish anymore. He talked to me- again as to why he is the way he is- i told him its still not my fault so dont take it out on me. Since then we have gotten on a lot better- he has been coming home from work earlier & taken our daughter out most evenings & at the weekend so i can have some time to myself. He has taken more of an interest in me- booked a baby sitter so we can go out- paid 500 pounds into my account to get the last loan paid off & set up a standing order each month. Things have definately gotten better between us. I still have a lot of things to think through in my own mind & things are not 100% between us, but i do think we will get there eventually. I know people will think im maybe being stupid for staying but i do love him.

Once again thanks very much for all the support you have all shown me through this difficult time
Now im debt free i want to be fat free too!

hannahsmummy I am so glad to read your post and hear that you are standing up to him and demanding the respect you deserve. It does sound as if things are getting much better and I hope that you work it out between you and that you do whatever is best for you and your daughter.

HM - so glad to hear from you & sounds like some positive progress has been made.

No one is going to judge you on your decision to stay - there are only 2 people that really know about your marriage, and that's you & your hubby.

We're just glad you're OK (as you can probably tell we were all getting a bit worried)

HM, I'm so glad to read your most recent posts, you sound as though you're really standing up for yourself. If you love him, and he's trying to change, no one can say you're crazy for giving it another go. I really hope it works out for you, and things continue to improve.
