Morning :hello:

Tired! I'm waking up at 4am every day. I try to get an hour's sleep in the afternoons but it's not working.

My new job is completely different from what I was told. So not sure how much longer I'll be staying there. Pfffft.

I'm taking grapes, a satsuma and a banana to work. I'm working 3-4 mornings a week, so although I'm picking at naughty things mid-morning when I'm home, I'm forced to eat the good stuff when I'm out :D

I'm managing to keep clean and moisturised but that's it :D I use a bit of foundation and mascara when I go to work (I have to, I look so tired without it!). I attempted to shave my legs but the razor was blunt and I have no spare blades. I'll get some when I go shopping tomorrow and I will have smooth legs by sunday night at the latest :D

So sorry, I still haven't read back :o I promise to catch up this afternoon xx

Morning All

It's another lovely day here today but very autumnal. I have to go into work for a bit this morning in addition to my usual afternoon and I have DGD from 5. My ex husband is over for a few days staying with DS and DDiL so he may babysit once I've put her to bed at her house which will free up my evening. I did suggest he and I take her swimming together as we obviously don't usually do grandparently things together but haven't had a response so probably not.

I'm wearing another of my charity shop bargain pairs of Per Una jeans today. They are dark grey and quite smart so I thought I might get away with wearing them for work as they don't look too much like jeans. I've teamed them with a long sleeved pale grey top which has a shaped neckline with self coloured embroidery and a couple of decorative buttons. I'm also wearing black ankle boots, and black and silver earrings and necklace and have used the straighteners on my hair to make it go into a sleek bob. How long that will last I am not too sure!

I managed to do Aerobics and Circuits last night on top of the run in the morning and don't ache too much today.I also signed up for the 6 week weight loss challenge my instructor is running so could win some free classes if I try really hard! I need some extra incentive as I'm not doing too well on my own at the moment.

Thanks for the suggestion about eye drops LL - I'm always a bit wary of putting stuff into my eyes but it could be good to have some in the cupboard. I must make an appointment with my optician for a check up too as I'm sure it's a year since the last one. I might buy some new glasses too for those occasions when I can't wear my lenses.

Exercise today will be walking to work and back twice so about 3 miles in total.

Have a good day everyone.

• Lovely to see so much fabbing going on :-)

I had an op a couple of weeks ago and have felt rotten ever since - it's been a bit of a setback, I wanted to lose a stone by Christmas but don't think I can do it now. Instead of gym and healthy eating I've been parked on the sofa eating chocolate biscuits!

Hoping to find some motivation soon…..

rubyslippers I hope you feel better from your op soon & your motivation will return I'm sure

Yesterday healthy eating kind of took place :o I need to try harder!! Exercise class last night which was good but I didn't get much time for any other fabbing. Today I'm planning to re-do my nail polish as it's beginning to chip, moisturise all over and spend a little time on my feet as they look a bit neglected.

I managed a bit of fabbing this morning to meet bestie for coffee (make-up, hair), but clothes-wise tidy had to suffice as it has been hammering down with rain, lots of surface water, and then I managed to put a little scrape on the car's rear bumper:eek:, not too awful, but flippin annoying as the car is being changed in a couple of weeks, still not all bad as OH did not shout at me when I got home:rotfl:

Not been feeling too well recently, have a virus that seems to have moved in permanently, and bestie told me that I looked pale and poorly, so need to try harder with the make up I think:(

Sorry no fabbing here today - at least not of the personal variety. For the past two days I have had a paint roller welded to my hand. I'm shattered......

It's all systems go now, the big push to decorate in readiness to get the carpets fitted on 18th November.

I have made a life changing decision.

I have decided to admit defeat, delegate some of my workload and engage some paid help. I now have a lovely lady who is helping me with the mega clean up, the painting, unpacking and to just help me get organised.

I know it might seem a bit self indulgent but I am just so tired And I'm fed up with the mess, the delays and slow progress.

Maddie and Rubyslippers - hope you both feel better soon.

Time to get busy in kitchen.....

LL - IMHO not at all indulgent, just plain good sense, it is no good wearing yourself down to such a low point that might take you weeks, even months to recover from.:)

Take care and try and enjoy seeing the project advancing faster.

Best wishes too to Rubyslippers and all who are feeling below par ATM.

Hugs to those not feeling 100%
LL sometimes calling the troops in is required, enjoy seeing your project developing.
Some fabbing of both the house (tidied & cleaned downstairs) and then for me a nice shower and moisturie all over + used some cellulite cream, whether it works who knows but worth a try :rotfl:

Evening all.
treated myself to a nice epsom salt bath and I am now painting my toes and my fingers (well the latter once I've finished posting ;))
Not loads of fabbing. Eating has been a bit rubbish, not main meals but had more junk than necessary. Picking at left over halloween sweets etc :o:mad: Feeling disappointed in myself, just seem stuck in this cycle of wanting to make changes and then completely forgetting them at the time.
Anyway going to treat myself to a nice cup of tea and a chill out infront of a film.
Enjoy your weekend all.
Hugs and get well vibes for those feeling under the weather.

Great start newthrift. Starting new habits is good. I like to get my eyebrows waxed regularly, that gives a good shape then it's easy to keep on top of it. Oh and LL is a great advocate of putting some perfume on every day. It all helps.:) Thanks for posting.
Having your eyebrows threaded is a nice boost and makes you feel polished, It is not so expensive and has a lot more flow than waxing.
I love bingewatching real housewives of Miami, they are so glam and it is riveting sometimes, not that I`m trying to turn all of you into couch potatoes or anything, perfume helps or planning a getaway. Then there is always rescue remedy.. for that extra little boost and it is natural, seen me through some wobbly times!
Got a lovely Ossie Clark Dress from Debenhams, just the one I wanted, looks quite Latina like something one of those glam Miami housewives wear, bit fitted but has given me the incentive to lose that stone I lost and annoyingly put back on due to lack of maintenance, sometimes losing it is the easier part than maintaining the loss, but I will do it, I now have my focal point, sometimes it isn`t the 10 year younger man who keeps telling you that you look hot, but the new item of clothing that keeps you going.
Great thread by the way, just discovered it.
