    Morning Ladies

I have to dash from Yoga to work this morning so am wearing Purple vest top and black leggings for Yoga then throwing a purple tunic dress over the top with black ankle boots for work. Yoga officially finishes at 10.30 but always runs late and I have to be at work at 10.30 today so will have to leave early and run! Fortunately, they are only 5 minutes walk apart.

My cold has virtually gone now and although I have a little sore patch on the side of my nose it's not too noticeable. I've got off lightly compared to many other occasions.

Have a good day everyone - must dash as lots to do before 9am.

Oh for glossy hair but I'll join you in the discreet slap!

I haven't washed my hair today as the ends are so dry I think it's worth giving it a rest. Ill probably regret it.

It's still t shirt weather here, promising to be the warmest Halloween for years. So at the moment I'm wearing (old but clean) black jeans and a purple top. I'll probably put on a scarf later and take a cardi but as I'm only going to Aldi I think I'll pass muster.:rotfl:

Glad your cold didn't develop too much rose. I've got a thumping headache and pain killers have worn off before 4 hours is even up.:( I think it may be sinus so I'll try something else later.

Thanks for the pinterest advice, will take a look.

Off to do healthy meal plan for the week before I hit the shops. I know how to live!!;)
  • I have worn mascara for the last few days - no other make up and loads of people have noticed and commented. Which ales me realise that the small bits really do make a difference....

I would also love the glossy hair.. But alas.. Not to be.

    Have a lovely Halloween folks.

Had a wonderful Halloween yesterday with friends and family. Took the kids trick or treating and not one to miss out I wore my sparkly purple tights, ankle boots and black top and skirt. My mum also made me a cloak a few years ago (think Scottish widows ilk) and with a set of Devils horns and some glittery black nail polish I was good to go :) who said dressing up was just for kids ;)

Had my hair trimmed today, lovely morning walk with the dog and enjoying a nice relaxing Saturday so far.

    Have a lovely weekend everyone.

Sweetcheeks I can't live without mascara. My eyelashes are too blonde and it's not a good look

Maman hope your sinuses feel better x

    Hi all,

Haven't managed to get on in a while- things are a bit hectic atm.

sorry to see some of you are ill -i think colds etc seem to be lingering a bit just now. Have not really recovered from mine.

LL- ((hugs)) sorry the health of your elderly relatives seems to be suffering.

Katie- you'll get through, hang in there. I'd welcome the break but that's another story.;)

Please can you all give me a kick up the rear!!! I have fallen off the fabbing wagon goodstyle. I'm not sure whether I'm depressed or what but i feel shattered all the time-had a small health scare ( a small spotting episode though I haven't had a period for 2 yrs). Still awaiting the results of tests. Was told it all looked ok so fingers crossed.

Still have DD1 staying and cat is still not settled! Tbh if she had somewhere else to go she would probably have gone by now. Her lack of understanding, thought, etc is difficult to excuse and it has created a rift among her siblings. I have had 'words' on a number of occasions with little effect. I can't turn my back but once she moves out I will say no more about anything unless asked and will make it clear that there will be no more bail outs.

I have really slipped back -apart from the eating -i haven't put any weight on but i look and feel a right mess. i just feel like i can't be bothered to make the effort. The ou course is also much more difficult than I anticipated and that is taking up my time too.

I won't go on -I know many of you have bigger problems than this. Best go and comfort the dog -the fireworks are upsetting.

Lizzie, sorry that things are so tough still. Virtual hugs.
Well done for maintaining your weight, that is brilliant.
I do admire you for doing the OU course, my neighbour has just 8 months to go to finish hers and she has mentioned from time to time how much time and effort is necessary.

Re the fabbbing (or lack of), perhaps begin by deciding to start tomorrow with doing just one thing, hair, nails, body moisturise or whatever and decide on a time frame for introducing the next thing, make a list/schedule for ? days or a week. Just go gently at it while you have so much to contend with:)

Sorry that your dog is distressed by the fireworks, Miss Border Collie does not mind them too much, but we have had 30 years of very unhappy dogs from this, you feel so helpless and hate to see they so unhappy.
    Take care.

Thinking about all of you- the positive vibes are trying to get through. On down side he is still here -cant make him leave its half his house and he hasn't found anything yet but have made plans to have hair sorted when he goes and have nails painted - my nearly daughter in law is going to help me in my new fab journey:)

Big hugs and thanks to all of you x

Hang in there KAtiecat - it will get easier. Once he has moved out your new life will just slot into place. In the meantime just take care of yourself - try to do stuff you enjoy. A coffee with a friend, a trip to cinema. Perhaps later, when you are reDy, you could join some clubs or take up new activities.

    You'll get there.

Just resting my back. Have been very busy these last few days - builder, joiner, plumber. Here for the big push to get. It done by Christmas. This morning I've reorganised my kitchen and made some chutney, indulging my inner domestic goddess.:D

Hope you are all enjoying your weekend.

How kind of her to support you. Why are you waiting for him to leave before getting your hair done? I think the sooner you start fabbing the better as it'll give you confidence to cope with what life's throwing at you at the moment. Take care.:)

Do any of you draw comparisons between yourselves and people in the news/media? I enjoy it as a form of people watching. The catty me especially likes it when I see someone about my age and I know I look better despite all the money they must have to spend on hairdressers/stylists etc. The other side of it is that I sometimes see people and admire their clothes/shoes/hair and think I could try it myself. Good fun!

The other thing I must share, thought of you lot when I read it: DD1 passed on a home magazine which had a feature on giving your home a rustic look for autumn. Predictably it was all about tartan cushions and Aran throws (which I like BTW). What made me laugh was they suggested, that even if you couldn't knit then to style your room leave a pair of bamboo needles and a ball of wool in a prominent position. Whatever next!!:rotfl:

Sorry to hear you haven't got rid of the cat etc yet lizzie.:T for keeping the weight off and persevering with the OU course.

I'm another who couldn't leave the house without mascara. Anyone who calls in and sees me without it at home always asks if I'm OK. It really makes a huge difference to making me look awake.

Envious of your cloak bitsy. I have a long, black winter coat that has a Scottish Widows style hood. I love it and I'd replace it if I could find another.

    Have a good week all.
