Morning :hello:
*RANT ALERT*
I didn't get anything done yesterday. Someone who drains the life out of me came round for a cuppa (it was arranged, I knew they were coming) and didn't leave for four and a half hours. I was polite when trying to get them to leave but short of saying “get the eff out of my house” I was stuck with them. They used the baby (who I love to bits and this is in no way about him) as an excuse to stay – he's hungry so I'll just feed him his dinner, oh I just need to change his nappy, he's fallen asleep and I don't want to wake him to put his coat on, blah blah blah. They know damn well that I would never wake a sleeping baby or mess up his mealtimes, etc.
I didn't even manage all of the exercises I'm supposed to do, never mind my own little routines. So I'm hobbling a bit this morning and I have loads of stuff to do – I'd planned this week out properly to keep the house tidy, up my exercise a bit, sort out holiday stuff, relax and NOT work on my biz. I should have had more time, not less. I'll stop moaning now because if I don't I'll end up writing a 10,000 word essay.
*wanders off grumbling about everything and everyone.

I feel your pain tru, I know someone like that!
Amazing weightloss happe, well done!
Not much fabbing news today, other than I picked up a belt from the charity shop yesterday for 49p, ideal for the dress I bought last week. Just what I needed to give the dress a little more shape.0 -
Good morning ladies
Just a quickie. Technically we should start a new thread because we, e passed the equinox. How did that happen.......or shall we just Carry On Fabbing :rotfl: using this thread which is still ok and not "out of date"
anyway
Happe wow!!!! What a weight loss. Well done.
Tru - sorry to hear about your day. It's hard when people outstay their welcome - some people just don't have any social graces;)
Had a nice day - ended up buying what we needed - skirting boards and wood for architraves from Jewson rather than B@Q. We had to order wood and get it delivered. After waiting about 15 minutes in B@Q for someone to take our order we gave up. I suggested we try Jewsons. So glad we did, saved ourselves around £100. Result.
Came home and slept on and off for a couple of hours. Spent most of the evening resting on the sofa watching the box, went to bed and slept right through the night. Feel better for it. I think this is what I need to do - just rest and sleep as much as I can whilst I gain strength.
Physio this morning so that should help iron out a few kinks, maybe a turn round Costco which is just round the corner from where I go for physio. I could do with stocking the freezer with meat and fish. Will just take it easy and see how I go.
Hope you all have a lovely day. The sun is shining again - we are being spoilt with this lovely Indian summer.0 -
Ladies I need to thank you all
Today I had quite a big day and I was able to face it feeling fabulous thanks to the support, humour and no nonsense advice of the ladies on this thread!
My hair was freshly styled, I had great eyebrows, subtle makeup, filed and polished nails, a flattering dress and killer shoesI sashayed through the day feeling better than I have in a long time and it is in no small part down to you all
Not only that but the hair and the eyebrows were through a discount site so I looked fab and saved money too
This thread and the people in it have helped me change my life for the better and I am very grateful, you are all fabulous :jTaking responsibility one penny at a time!0 -

Morning :hello:
The phone and front door is being ignored today. I've planned today's things and I will not be distracted.
I need to pack today, it'll only take a few minutes because most of it is out ready. I've decided not to fold any clothes that'll get creased in a case – I'm going to leave them on hangers, lay them out on top of everything in the boot of the car then when we arrive I can hang them straight up in the wardrobe. Quick and easy
I have a few things to sort this morning but have scheduled my exercises in. This afternoon should be quieter so I'll spend some time just stretching. I can do that while I watch a couple of progams on catch-up
I'm going to wash my hair later then leave conditioner on for half an hour. My feet need a bit of attention, I've been looking after them but have run out of body butter so have been using normal body lotion. I'll pick up some body butter in the next couple of days. I'm going to have an early shower, I want to be in my pyjamas and crocheting by 7pm

LL You are doing the right thing take it as easy as you need to, time to think of yourself for a while.
Tru I stopped seeing a friend like the one you describe, (readers of the previous threads may remember). Every time I saw her I felt bad about myself and my situation, everything was always about her and I'd had enough. Don't miss her at all. I have few friends now but the ones I do have are worth having. I am guilty of looking on the good side of people and for as long as possible but sometimes it needs to be done for your own sanity.
Wow everyone is going really well with the fabbing wish I could say the same. Feel in limbo atm, with DD1 staying there's things all over the house and it's getting to me. Awful to say but I'm looking forward to when she and cat move out. I feel like a terrible mum but I'm struggling. The cat has sprayed all over the house ( though she assured me she didn't do that anymore) and i'm not sure I'll ever get rid of the smell which is going to mean more expense sorting it out. She's a nervous indoor cat and our dog isn't used to cats so she is obviously scared despite attempts to settle her. I know it's only a smell and not the end of the world but we aren't in a financial position where replacing large items is easy and I've always tried to look after the things we have. It's getting me down.
Council are still dragging their heels, DD1 seems to live in some sort of fantasy world and I'm starting to think that she will never be any different. I've offered help sorting her finances but she refuses and I see her buying things she shouldn't which may only cost a few pounds but all this mounts up. I've decided that she will have to sort it herself and if she gets into this mess again she isn't coming back here. It feels harsh but she seems to have no concept of how much she has put on us and the strain of it all. The bank of Mum has been shut for a while now the hotel will be too. My eating has gone way off track but strangely I've not put any weight back on. Maybe it's stress. I need a break from it all.
Did try to book a pamper session at local college but they aren't up and running yet and as I can't afford any other it'll have to wait. By the way on the subject of threading can i just say be careful. I used to have mine done til the lady (superdrug) took a chunk out of my brow and put me off. I haven't been since. The problem is it never seems to be the same person so you never know how it will turn out. A shame as when they were done well they looked good and it was my one beauty luxury.
Anyway enough about my trials. Keep it up everyone you all seem to be on the up. I will try and do what I can not to slip back totally. Am off out for the day appointments and family visits to get out of the house. Have a good day all.Frump to Fab - Solstice Sizzler

Lizzie, that must be grim, the smell of cat pee is horrid, this is the method I have always used when cleaning up after puppies or old/poorly dogs and I see it is recommended by cat orientated web sites too, there is also a link to a blend of products for use on carpet, and the great thing is that everything they recommend is either pretty cheap or likely in use anyway. HTH:)
ETA link not seeming to work, I will copy out the info and re-postThe best thing about the future is that it comes one day at a time. (Abraham Lincoln)0
