Morning :hello:
Thanks for the Timpsons info Floss, I've made a note of it
maddiemay to the rescueI like THIS
Wish we had a Home Bargains, I keep hearing good things about them. There's one in Cheltenham, handily I can get on the bus outside my house, go through Glos town and on to Cheltenham without changing buses. Unhandily, the Cheltenham branch isn't on the bus route
I must investigate the apple sauce, I have greasy roots and dry ends so it'd be interesting to see if it cleans both types of hair. I've just read that it's good as a face mask too, just add honey, oats and lemon juice.
I've colour coded my clothes with hangersThe wardrobe looks so neat and tidy, I don't want to take anything out of it because it'll look uneven :rotfl:
My leg has been a bit limpy for the last couple of days, it hasn't stopped me doing anything though. I made a decision about something late afternoon yesterday and the limping pretty much stopped. I must've been wound up (more than I thought!) and was tense. Banging stuff out on the keyboard – and boring people senseless with my ramblings along the way – obviously helps me sort out my jumbled brain
Rummer Your post made me shudderI hate going to the dentist. Mine is fab, as is the hygentist, they calm me down, nothing is painful, etc. but I still hate going - they put stuff in my mouth and I feel invaded, lol.

Lovely shoes rummer, so glad you're treating yourself. Shoes/bags/scarves are a way of doing that while we wait to be the size we want. Thanks for the reminder about the make up. I'm no too bad with brushes but really dreadful at keeping make up too long:o.
betty, my friend Google tells me that H&M might have a brown cardigan. Has to be worth a try.

Off to family birthday celebration (again) tonight. It's in a Chinese so (although stir fry is an option) probably won't be able to stick to healthy. When I get near a spring roll I'm dangerous!;)
I will get fabbed up for that but first need to do some errands.
Have a good day all. Still beautiful here, sunny and meant to reach 23 later.:)0 -
Good morning ladies
Pretty shoes:D
Well today I'm nursing a poorly hand. Yesterday I decided to sand down an old chest of drawers, over did it of course and I'm now paying the price. When will I learn that I'm not 30 any more. I used the flat bed sander for the flat areas then sanded the fiddly bits by hand:eek:
The joke is I have two special sanders for detailed work so why didn't I use them...:rotfl:
Speaking of people watching. Last night I could hardly believe my eyes ......
After we had had a nice mooch round a garden centre where I picked up a red fleece body warmer in the sale, along with some bronze coloured chrysanthemums for the garden, DS2, his girlfriend and I went out to dinner in one of these Harvester Inn type places.
They were doing a carvery. We watched in both horror and mounting amusement at the way people were piling up their plates with mountains of food. There was enough on each plate for two meals.
Then they were just shovelling it in, often their mouths weren't even empty before the next forkful went in. Needless to say all but one of them were overweight. It wasn't just one family behaving like this, we seemed to be surrounded by people like this.
I have never seen such gluttony and tbh some of the table manners I witnessed also left a lot to be desired. Talk about snouts in troughs......
Perhaps they were really lions in disguise and only eat once a week
Seriously though if they could have seen themselves. I wonder if they all moan about never being able to lose weight!!!
This morning I've been trying to do a bit of house fabbing, but rather difficult with one hand out of action. I'm off for a little walk and this afternoon I need to tackle some more paperwork.0 -
Oooh lots of nice purchasing going on ladies
I love when you get a wardrobe cull and some new bits. I think I might do any ebay tonight and start getting rid of some wee bits that may sell and I have some charity stuff to sell. I have ordered a few bits from 25% next Christmas preview as I like the jeggings.
I too need to start looking at diet as the weight is creeping up- I bought a bigger size this year and now they are too tight!!!!! What!!!!
I need to sew my mouth closed. Thinking about a gluten test too as not sure Ibs is just the problem. Looking forward to a steaming hot bath when I get in tonight and some pampering...
Hope everyone is doing well, lL sorry to hear about your wrist.. Take it easy!!
Hugs to those who need them0 -
Thanks maman and maddiemay!
I'm looking for a long line cardigan with a deep v-neck - I would've liked buttons but I think the nearest I'm going to get is this: http://www.woolovers.com/cashmere-merino/womens/belted-cardigan.aspx
I have put it in my basket and will give it 24 hours just to be sure0 -
Thanks for the reminder about makeup & brushes Rummer, I need to think of an easy way to remedy my hanging-on too long, I think I will borrow your idea!
I need to put my summer stuff away this weekend, won't need the woolies just yet but as I am in work 8-5 most days, T-shirts are probably only useful as layers now, and maxi dresses are probably not needed.
I want to check all my boots, I put rolled-up magazines in them as free boot-treesand want to check they are all in good nick for when I do need them.
I won't be Fab Fridaying this week as am taking a days time-in-lieu to spend on my allotment, as I have a wedding cake & cupcakes to make for next weekend & lots of prep and sugarpaste flowers & trimmings to be made...
I will be thinking of you glamorous girls while up to my eyes in manure & weeds, albeit with newly-done nails (can't cancel tomorrows appointment as I won't get another for ages!)

Hi ladies
Not sure if you noticed but there seems to be a 10% discount code PURE 10 if you decide to place those orders.
On hols seeing all the sites in York this week, not much fabbing, more practical and neat and tidy in Craghoppers polycottons and walking boots, but I packed some pretty scarves and everything is well colour co-ordinated; daft painful ankles are standing up to it quite well, helped along by pain killers, walking poles and magnesium spray.:DThe best thing about the future is that it comes one day at a time. Evening Everyone.
Well I've not stopped today one way and another. I went for a five and a half mile run first thing, saw my Mum off on a trip to my sisters, did 2 hours housework including scrubbing a floor, emptied Mum's fridge, collected DGD from school and took her to the park, fed her and put her to bed ready to do Aerobics at 7.30. So now is my first sit down all day. I've lost 3lbs since I started joining in with the thread last week so am very pleased.
One idea that I have been toying with is buying a load of cheap coloured vest type tops from somewhere like Primark to see what colours I look best in. I can wear them for exercise classes if I like them or just as an underneath layer for the winter if I don't. I think you could get quite a few for a tenner. I know that whenever I wear a turquoise top I have I always get some comment about the colour suiting me and it would be nice to have a try at some different colours- sort of a frugal way to do a Colour Me Beautiful type session. Do you think that would work?

Rose if you get comments on that colours why don't you have a look or google the sorts of websites that would give you those ideas on colours that they would match up with that. It may give you an idea where to start?
Maddie have a wonderful time in New Yorkwhat a wonderful place to go, it's on my bucket list
Betty that cardigan looks great- lovely & cosy
I never came home earlier enough for a bath ... Well what I mean as couldn't be bothered once I got in. Got my nails done tonight so what was a nice bit of pampering. Love them bright multi coloured marbling effect.
Early night been watch X factor. It's rubbish but makes me laugh...0 -
