My darling died tonight at 6.30.

He had a peaceful day, I showed him some photos and had music playing in the background. He had his family and our closest friends with him as he slept and rested.

The end when it came was gentle and painless - just what I had hoped for.

    Gnight All. X

So sorry LL- have been thinking of you. I'm so glad your OH went peacefully. It must have been so comforting to know you provided such a lovely passing (if that makes sense). You were so lucky to have had such a wonderful relationship. You and your family will be in my thoughts over the coming days/weeks. Look after each other and take some time for yourselves to rest. Love and hugs x

Did you see that spectacular moon last night.

Shortly after he died a beautiful rainbow appeared, then when I left the nursing home I looked up and saw that gorgeous moon. It mademe smile. I stood gazing at it for several minutes.

I couldn't help but feel that Mother Natures was showering us with her blessings. Firstly she gave my darling a peaceful and pAinfree death, then ithat lovely rainbow to lift his spirit from the earth and then finAlly that bright silvery moon to guide him to the afterworld and light my journey home through the dark countryside.

Thank you all so much for your kind thoughts.

Physically I feel bruised and battered but mentally and emotionally I feel calm and peaceful.

My feelings are a mixture of relief and gratitude for his gentle passing. His suffering is finally at an end.

The boys and I feel tired and fragile but we hAve each other.

We have a lot to do but we have lots of help and support.

thanks again for all your kind thoughts. I am lucky to have so much support and warmth from everyone.

Time to get the ball rolling.
