  • Hello all... Hope everyone is well. Bought my first Christmas gift nGs today to start wrapping and getting things ready for delivery so I can get things cleaned out then get ready for my house clean. Off end of the week so may start then in front of TV watching a movie.
Have treated myself to a Jawbone UP24 wrist bad which tracks my steps & my sleep pattern & links to my fitness pal for my eating & calories. Also reports how much of each food group you've had at a quick glance. Really enjoying it so far and it's spurring me on so much. Seeing things in an app gives me a boost to do better which is great. Hopefully loose a couple of pounds for the holidays... Obviously bought it on deal on Black Friday etc.

Starting to count days to time off so looking forward till some lazy time and lots of reading.. Movies by candle light. Not actually fussed about christmasx but more the lazy time I'll get off.

LL glad everything is coming together in the house ... Well done :)

sweatybetty I love the idea of making up your own advent calendar with the mini's :) I will try and remember this for next year.
I hope everyone is well. Not much fabbing going on here although I cancelled my hair appointment which was for Monday 1st (would of been £26) for a freebie cut&finish at a different hairdressers I used to go to as I won a comp on facebook :D They can still squeeze me in before Christmas so I thought why not ;)
My eating has gone a bit to pot and I think that's why I have felt more bloated and lethargic, so I am giving myself a kick up the bum and being good!!! Please feel free to keep a check on me and tell me off if I drop off the wagon :p:rotfl:

    Hope everyone is well :)
Christmas is the most magical time of the year :santa2:

TBH, if you shop around you can generally find that they have as good a range as any s/m, and the saving is well worth any inconvenience of not having the full range. Anyway, its good to swap shades every now & then ;)

I always buy my toiletries, shampoos, DHs soap etc from HB or B&M, only my No.7 from Boots and always when on 3for2.

Except when the shades they have are for blonde and I am brunette!
Just like when you find a top or dress in the sales it is always a size 8!
On a positive note it is good to go in with an open mind for things such as cotton wool or toothpaste and if you do find your shade by luck, it is a bonus.

    Its Fab Friday ladies!

I'm just about to jump in the shower and have got a black tweedy shift, natural cashmere cardi, black tights & knee boots out to wear today. With a spritz of Miss Dior, my usual workday makeup and my clean shiny hair, I'm all set :)

    Sounds good Floss.

I'm off to Physio, the tip, (oh the glamour) and Sainsbugs with a detour to B&Q so a busy. Day planned.

Had a very naughty spend yesterday, new undies, nightie, sliver sequinned slippers, three pairs of trousers/jeggings, two mini dresses and a fab little grey sequinned dress (for all those parties/glamourous dinner dates:rotfl:).

Told you I intended a little splurge. :o

Actually it's not nearly as bad as it sounds because it's all from ASDA, the most expensive item was the sequinsned dress and that was a real bargain at £25.

I also made a start on the Christmas shopping at last.

    Have a fab day.m

Will wear grey trousers, with a grey and green top, then my turquoise charity shop wool coat which is lovely and toasty and only cost me £8.

    Have a fab day.......

I can't believe I forgot to go to the hairdresser yesterday. I was walking home from the town and had a feeling I was missing something, checked my appointment card and there it was, 9am 4/12. I went to the salon to apologise, to my amazement there was one appointment left before Christmas so I'm having it done this afternoon.

I'm so pleased, I'm not bothered about having it done fore the festivities, but my hair is really short so it just looks a mess if I leave it much longer than 8 weeks.

    Happy Friday everyone.

I did that last week, I was so embarrassed when my stylist phoned to ask where I was:o, she fitted me in later that day as she had a gap, but wouldn't take any money for the missed appointment, I think that I will get her a Christmas present to make up a little.

I got all dolled up for my ladies lunch on Wednesday, Lapis coloured dress and tights, black ankle boots and black waterfall cardi. Lunch for OH and I today with my bestie and her OH, planning to wear midi length black wrap dress and my lovely bright red vintage cape (it is sort of mohair fabric and I can only wear it when it is not raining), not sure about shoes as I shouldn't have to walk far I might try my boots with a slight heel (mobility problems prevent me from wearing them if I have to walk more than a few yards:(:(:(:()

LL - what a lovely shopping spree and so :money: too.
Floss your outfit sounds very chic.

    Afternoon Everyone.

I am having a lovely Fab Friday - and feeling very fab! It started well with the scales going down under 10 stone to 9st 13lbs. I had a strenuous but very enjoyable yoga session followed by coffee with friends. After that I had a hairdressing appointment and decided to be brave and go a bit shorter. Well, what a difference. I've gone for a just below chin length bob which looks lovely, especially as I had my highlights done too. Several people have seen it already and commented very favourably and the general consensus is that it not only suits me but also knocks years off! So a great result. I just wish I could do it myself so well but I'm hopeless at blow drying.

I'm wearing my favourite draped jersey top in shades of red, black and white with charcoal smart trousers and black ankle boots as I'm at work later.

I've made another appointment to have my hair done for the first week in January which is a shorter time than I normally leave between cuts so it should help keep it looking good. I've also packed a very healthy tea to take to work as I start at 4.30 tonight.

One thing that has helped with dropping through the next stone barrier is that I've given up chocolate and sugar from the 1st until Christmas Day. It's really helping me stop snacking as there is nothing suitable unless I cook a hardboiled egg or something so I usually do without. I thought just over 3 weeks was easily achievable and I will then treat myself on Christmas Day and it will feel more special. And if I've tamed my sweet tooth by then it will be even better!

Everyone's outfits sound great today - I do enjoy hearing what people are wearing. One thing I am looking out for in the charity shops at the moment is a light coloured winter coat/jacket as I am aware that my black duffel coat makes me hard to see when walking to work etc. I tried a cream wool Next jacket earlier this week (in the charity shop) but it was too short and didn't come past my bottom so I passed on it.

Rose a big round of applause to you for the weight loss and for feeling so fab. Well done you.:T:T

Just a quick heads up to let you all know that sainsbugs has their 25 per cent offer on clothing this weekend.

So I had another little spend. ;)

Actually not quite quite so naughty today, it included sweaters for the boys and my nectar points covered most of it, so quite mse again.:rotfl:

I got a fur lined shearling type body warmer. I really like body warmers I find them very useful and this one is dead glam....I got a really nice red dressing gown because my old one is a disgrace and fit only for the rag bag. I would hate to have to take that one into hospital:rotfl:

I also got some really warm jegging type trousers in a dark grey herringbone tweed effect but they are soft and fleecy on the inside. I do find denim is very cold on the legs in winter and my poor old knees don't like the cold so I'm hoping these will feel much warmer. And then to top it off I bought a lovely cosy wrap around cardy/jacket . So I shall be nice and toasty.

It's difficult to dress really warmly and yet still be glamourous but I'm really going to try this year.

Lots of nice soft knits and fake fur. I've also stocked up on new thermals, undies and socks.

Going to have a little rest and then cook a nice dinner. Have to confess its a cheaty bung in the oven, sainsbugs special meal deal with a bottle of vino - purely medicinal you understand;)

So a nice cosy evening with a good film and a glass or two.

By the way I finally got round to watching Wolf of Wall Street. It's a hoot. The sex and drug taking is a bit graffic but it really is hilarious.I never knew that Leo De Caprio could do comedy. I think he's a great dramatic actor but I had no idea he could be so funny.

Very cold here now. Snow for Christmas perhaps?

    :rotfl:
  • Happy Friday everyone!

I went to the dentist this morning for an orthodontic assessment. I have an overbite and gappy teeth, and when I mentioned it to my regular dentist he said that with my measurements I could get treatment on the NHS. I had my first appointment with them today, and to correct my bite I would need braces and jaw surgery. I have no idea what to do. It's a major decision, and apart from that, what if I don't like the changes it makes to my face? Some tough decisions to be made.
    No more goo hoarding!
