LL – What a wonderful idea. I’m sure your OH will be smiling. I imagine you do get to the point you just want your project to be finished, it will be worth it in the end! Glad to hear S2 is feeling more like himself. Also how exciting for a new build :j
Katie – Personally I would be telling him where to shove himself, and that is putting it nicely !! If he would like to spend some time with the boys I suggest he does it Christmas eve or Boxing day and leaves you to all have a nice Christmas DAY – although if the boys wanted they could meet him for a couple of hours away from the house. Well done on your weight loss and glad your pleased with your new hair :T!! Once you have a routine again with work you might start to feel a little better, but it will take time and I can’t imagine what you are feeling. Small steps, maybe join a local club and meet some new people + will get you out and about
Rose – Happy sorting!! I have sorted my drawer with tops and exercise clothes in, but need to really go through the wardrobe – ASAP as I wouldn’t mind picking a few bits up in the sales which I need (cardigan!)
Sweetcheeks – any recommendations of where I can check online to drop something like the rucksack off? I might not be able to fill one but would be able to gather a few bits!
Lizzie – hugs to you
Apologies if I missed anyone, I have been reading throughout the weekend but haven't had much time to post. With regards to Christmas I am done and wrappedFabbing last night I de-fuzzed, moisturised, S&G hot cloth cleanser, S&G face mask, eye cream and face cream
Had all the intentions of getting up and beginning body brushing routine in a morning but my bed was too warm and when I have to get up for work it's become such a drag (a few of us have been made redundant a couple of weeks back but we don't leave until end of June 2015 plus it's really quiet, boring days, luckily only do 3 here and only 2 this week!!) sorry moan over!
Bootcamp was cancelled on Saturday morning as the instructor is also a fireman and had to attend to fires in the wee hours. But with a little coaxing from OH before he left for work, I got my Jillian Michaels Extreme Shed & Shred DVD out and oucch!!! Still feeling it in my bum and legs! Running tonight with my friend, thing it will be cold though! I have also finally booked to have my eyebrows done. It is'nt until 23rd December so I will be ready by then :rotfl: a lady in the local town has now qualified in HD brows!! I have there pallet and am so excited to finally go and have the actual full HD Brow treatmentChristmas is the most magical time of the year :santa2:

The sun is shining and the downstairs is all ready for the carpet fitters tomorrow. Wahoo. :j
Just going to nip to the little shop then have an hour in the garden - a last pre winter tidy and plant a few tulips I found in a bag. Will just pop them in pot for a splash of spring colour.
Katie - glad to hear you are bearing up. It will get better.
Re the friends thing. It is hard when you've been part of a couple for so long. This is something I reAlly need to work on too.
At the moment I really don't care about socialising as such, at least not in the evenings. I currently do most of mine during the day, meeting a friend for a coffee or lunch, a shopping trip or the cinema .
When OH first went Into a nursing home I joined a choir and a book club. Both welcomed singletons and I met some lovely people.
Once I have moved properly I shall do the same again, possibly Also the WI and various other groups such as the University of the Third Age (UA3) I'll just try them out and see which I find suits me best.
A lady called Welsh Woofer who used to post on here (hello WW) joined a meet up group and loved it.
There are plenty of singletons out there - it's just a case of linking up with them and making some new friends. Don't forget the old ones too, some will want to stay in touch but might be a little shy of approaching you. They might be waiting for you to make the first move.
I'm looking quite reasonable today. Well I'm not covered in paint so it's got to be an improvement, :rotfl:0 -
Morning :hello:
I've had a horrible few weeks, getting completely stressed about this job, butterflies in my tummy, not sleeping, etc. So I fixed it – I left the jobNow looking into craft fairs, small ones for the time being to get a feel of what people like and don't like.
Fabbing – errmmm noWell, I've kept myself clean, does that count?
I want to pick up where I left off but I don't seem to be able to so I'm starting again. Again

Starting again, again is a bit like not giving up giving up, isn't it?
Hello all, not been here in a while - though still reading.
Katie, sorry for your woes. It will get better - be good to yourself, and tell him to go stuff himself. He wants it all, doesn't he? "I am leaving but let's stay friends so I don't feel bad about myself".
LL - would love an Eco home myself. We are currently not in our forever home, but when DS is out of school (3 years) we will start to think about it / plan for it. Although I am allegedly writing up my doctorate at that point :rotfl:
Fab wise I am trying the Aldi serum that makes you look 20 again :rotfl: I am not sure these serums work, but the boots one is so expensive (I may still go for it though). Yesterday I put on a pair of trousers that were just too "M and S classics" (nothing wrong with that, but not for me). I bought them when I was a stone and a half heavier and I think they are too frumpy not - even though I have taken them in. I am a little trouser challenged at the moment but am Christmas shopping on Saturday so could look for a couple of pairs then.
Anyone know what type of hat I can wear with my hair up/ in a ponytail - preferably not a wooly one as they make me look like a bag ladyI wanna be in the room where it happens0 -
Hi again
Not going back to work on Friday -had massive meltdown yesterday with it all- doc has given me some anti depressants to help me along and going to talk things through with someone on Thursday -a kind of fabbing if only for my mind.
I agree he does want it all his own way being friends etc so going to have to stand up for myself more.
Hair washed and spent some time on it today. It looks nice and going out with friend for coffee later so going to make extra effort today as look a bit washed out!!!

VJsmum, would a headband do? I have a couple of knitted ones which keep my ears warm and allow me to have my hair in a pony tail 2021 Decluttering Awards: ⭐⭐🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇 2022 Decluttering Awards: 🥇

I have a ski type hairband that keeps my ears warm and doesn't mess up my ponytail.
To look a bit smarter I put my hair into a low bun and wear a royal blue beret. Only problem is it leaves one ear exposed! No buying unnecessary toiletries 2014. Epiphany on 4/4/14 - went into shop to buy 2 items, walked out with 17!0 -
Hi all
VJsmum - I wear what is apparently known as newsboy caps - I particularly like wearing them tucking my hair inside.
I'm sleeping really badly at the moment - it was gone 330am before I fell asleep on Sunday night  which made work on Monday almost unbearable. I tried everything, warm drink, something to eat, reading, even re-arranging the utility cupboard, but nothing:mad:. I went for a massage yesterday and managed to get to sleep before 1230, which was an improvement, so I'm planning on a relaxing bath tonight and hopefully will be asleep at a decent time!
In other news, I didn't think I'd lost any weight, but after discussions at work about what to wear for our posh Christmas dinner (black tie do) I came home and tried on my bargain dress (long red dress, with sleeves, from Hobbs, for £20!) and I reckon it fits enough to be suitable. As I still have a massive stomach/hips/bum it's not going to make me look like kate winslet, but I think I look as good as I'm going to be able to :j0 -
Hi all
new thrift the project is rucksack project there maybe one running in your area. It's not a charity just a project that set up to do good deeds. Last year was phenomenal, last year I didn't hand in everything just what I had, this year I got a tunnocks tea cake flask for £1.50 in me as@£a in the sale and I have spare hat & gloves I don't like. A pack of primark socks and a couple of clothing items. I add a couple if Christmas cards & stamped envelopes & a pen so someone can let a relative know they are safe or thinking about them. A present of a bar of chocolate as the flask gets filled with hot soup. A plastic Pinochet, an old clean jacket. It's difficult as some of it feels tokenistic when I'm in my nice warm house but I can't change everything but hopefully it makes things a little more manageable. People give what they can, every little helps..
Katie hope you are feeling a little better, there will be good days and bad days, as LL says these things take time unfortunately ** hugs**
LL hope everything continues to go well at home, carpets going down, sounds like things are coming together well , it'll be adding final touches of cushions and candles soon enough. Well done you must ne do proud of what you have achieved
Life is going well here and works continue as normal. We after lots of back & forward have an offer on flat, let's hope for conclusion soon...
Have been trying to fab a little more and be more presentable
Last few days, in fact the last 3 days... It certainly does make you feel better..
Anyway on a brighter note.., 30 days till christmas. Aargh !! At least it means time of work and long lies...and well earned sleep.
