nilequeen Yes I like Lisa, I have actually started 'following' her on instagram
As I haven't watched many yet I get a bit mixed up with names and I don't know if some of them aren't ''regular'' one's on. I do agree about Kim, she just seems mardy in the one's I have watched!!
I can see I will be watching on youtube to catch up on some others :rotfl:
Done my hair a little bit different for work today, ponytail as normal but have twisted my fringe across one side and griped it. Finally sorted my brows this morning  Had a couple of matchmakers last night with OH whilst we sat with a cuppa but have eaten pretty well continually, with the odd treats, so quite happy with that. I can feel the difference!!
The Housewives of New York are on at the moment on itvbe every day at 4pm to 6pm, it is the previous series though.
what I don`t get is they are so called housewives but you never actually see them with a duster in hand or any other implement for that matter that evokes any corelation to housework as we know it. They dress up and go to a lot of charity do`s and holidays.
I wish that was my job description, I`d relish it lo!0 -

:rotfl: Given that the one I saw the other day one of them didn't even know how to cook a chicken  I can't imagine any of them ever really dust/clean either!!! They'll have staff for that
I will be having a watch when I get home just after to 5pm thank you :beer:Christmas is the most magical time of the year :santa2:

Hi Girls
Stayed in today with hair masque on and Ojon special treatment. Did a spritz of Caron perfume in Rose, quite an obscure brand I bought in HOF a couple of years ago, reduced so bought three different fragrances, I think it is French and quite an intriguingly vintage fragrance, maybe some French aristocracy inspired or even Chanel herself.
Admire the French they are so effortlessly Chic.
So many fragrances just smell samey these days, they all seem to have very sweet cloying topnotes that put you off, and after a few hours they vanish, you just pay for the label. The one I think is truly distinctive is Anais Anais, beautiful and sophisticated, never smelt anything like it. I don`t like celebrity fragrances tend to steer clear but love Elizabeth Taylor White diamonds and she was a true celebrity, not a wannabe like most so called non entities these days. Her fragrance is a room rocker though!
My new shredder came today , cross cut, so I donated the old one to red cross who are quite happy to accept it, it shredded lengthways in ribbons but not confetti.
Made some garlic bread for lunch, don`t really like the supermarket garlic baguettes, they tend to be a bit dry and the butter has an aftertaste and smell I don`t care for.
I still bought a baguette or french stick from M&S and made my own Garlic margarine, instead of butter using light marg, I cut the baguette down the middle, spread the garlic marg then added grated chedder and onion & green chilli with coarse black pepper to season.
Wrapped in foil and placed at 200 for about 10-12 minutes in halogen oven.
Delicious and no after taste or smell.0 -
Hello ladies, I was wondering if I could join your lovely thread please? Desperately in need of a little fabbing and everyone here seems really nice so I think I've found the right place to go  I've been reading through and some of you are so inspirational so hopefully I can start feeling a little bit fab!
Actually managed to get up early today and wash my hair, something I'm rather shamefully lazy about and I'll only notice halfway through the day it looks greasy and terrible- I have blonde bobbed hair so it's really noticeable and gets greasy quickly. I put makeup on but my skin is absolutely terrible at the moment- I started using Origins stuff about a month ago and it was great for a while but now looks worse than when I started! I unfortunately had to cut my nails off yesterday as I stupidly cleaned the bathroom without any gloves so they got ruined  so although my hair (and bathroom!) looks good not feeling particularly fabbed today.
Katiecat, sounds like you've had a rough time lately, I hope you're feeling better soon x
nilequeen, have you tried Lovely by Sarah Jessica Parker? It's gorgeous, and I really like Chance by Chanel, but perfume doesn't last well on me so I only wear it occasionally."I don’t keep up with the Joneses, I try to drag them down to my level" - Quentin Crisp0 -

You have come to the right place as there are lots of lovely people on here with some great hints and tips.
I have tried one of the Sjp perfumes and finished it, can`t remember which, it may have been Lovely, it was nice but not a fave.
I bought Chance as well and forcibly finished it, prefer the no 5 or coco, the more classic ones. Overall the French fragrances are the best, in my experience.0 -
My fave perfumes are Miss Dior, Dolce Vita & Dune all by Christian Dior.
LL, which IKEA did you go to last week? Before I moved up to the seaside I used to live close by to the original Warrington one - it, M&S, ToysRus and the big Boots were my corner shopsLoving the sound of your colour schemes
Maman, I thought of you the other day when I had my nails done - shellac all the way for me now! And my boy beautician told me I can extend the life by painting over the top with a darker varnish if I need to - I prefer fortnightly but its £20 a go, so am trying to go 3 weeks between changes
Katiecat - hope you're OK. It is very odd when the novelty of being on your own with your kids kicks in, I found diversion tactics were best when mine went to vist their dad every other weekend. All the local garden centres, local places of interest, my mum, my best friends, even car boot sales - all were used to keep me busy on a Sunday! Saturdays weren't so lonely because I would go out with my girlie mates on the Friday & stay at my best friends home, then we'd all go out for brunch at the local supermarket before ambling home for a bath & leisurely snooze in front of the tv, then an early night to recover:) I always found time to do the ironing around half an hour before they were due home - kept me busy until they came in and gave me an excuse to be facing the window2021 Decluttering Awards: ⭐⭐🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇 2022 Decluttering Awards: 🥇

Hello again
I am so tired but keep waking in early hours thinking of OH - what a waste of my time! He sent me text today it was not nasty but just sets me off all over again.
It all feels so unreal I keep expecting to wake up ....
Have decided with team leader to return to work next week on part time medical grounds. I need the company of other people and it will give me something to focus on.
Went into work looking smart and having hair done on Friday -it will get better
Thanks for all help again

Good morning ladies
Lovely sunny day here so I'm off out to hit the shops in a few minutes. I have a list as long as my arm.....
Re IKEA it wa the Nottingham one. And it was heaving so we just sorted out the wardrobes and left it at that. I do need to go again but it can wait now until after Christmas. I just can't face the crowds.
KAtiecat - keep going, you are doing well. If his texts upset you then tell him not to contact you unless it's absolutely necessary. He was the one who wanted his freedom after all.
Re the early waking _ give it time. Glad you feel able to go back to,work, it will do you good.
Hi Enchilada - welcome to the gang:D
Right time to get cracking, the streets should be aired by now.;)0 -

LL, I hope that you had a good shopping expedition, I cannot be bothered with crowds these days either, I think I could bear it if it was not so hot in the shops, being anaemic I feel the cold and need to have adequate clothing for outdoors, but then being in the shops makes me feel so hot and ill, I do layer things, but am forever un-zipping and taking gloves and scarf off etc:rotfl:
I wonder if I may brain pick? I have had persistent sore outbreaks on my face for most of the year, they do come and go somewhat, Medics in past have suggested allergies and I have had some testing, but after much reading I think it may be Perioral Dermatitis, the treatment for which is an anti-bacterial cream available on prescription, I will have to brave the coughs and sneezes of the Doc's waiting room:(, but as this complaint is said to re-occur often, even after treatment I am wondering if any essential oils, OK to use on the face (mixed into carrier oil) spring into your mind? I will understand if you have too much going on atm to think about this:)The best thing about the future is that it comes one day at a time. (Abraham Lincoln)0 -

A really good effective oil I used a couple years back was from Aveda, called balancing oil for blemished skin, I went ott with fresh garlic to fight a cold and ended up with black spots all over my face. It was quite scary, so I used this oil and it had a lovely calming fragrance and really helped clear my skin. I have a tiny bit left which I keep for the smell alone.
Decleor facial oils are quite good to balance skin, they do a different one for every skin type, albeit expensive to purchase a full size, around £30 or £40 roughly, you could go to house of fraser or John Lewis to ask their advice, they may give you a free sample to try, if you ask at their Decleor counter.
Neals Yard may be a little cheaper and are lovely to visit, you may not want to leave, they have very nice soothing creams and oils.
You could google them to see if they have a shop in your town, or go online and get some advice.
Let us know how you get on.
Good luck and I hope you feel better soon.
Ps they have some great body temerature regulating tshirts and vests in M&S,
I bought about five, they were reduced, good to wear underneath a top and they keep you warm when it`s cold and vice versa, lovely handle on the fabric too.
I use them to layer under dress or top,so can take my coat off in a store and feel ok.0
