Hi Katiecat
Chin up, stand by the courage of your convictions.
Best of British to you and yours.0 -
Hi Katiecat - well done you the worst is over. Good that you have your boys with you.
It may not be the life you planned and hoped for but you can still make it a good life. Have courage, it can only get better from now on.
My life didn't pan out as I had hoped. I never planned on being a widow, I was looking forward to sharing a long and happy retirement with my OH.
Alas it was not to be. I know I shall miss my husband until the end of my days but I also know that I can still have a good life. I can be happy and content.
Today was a bit of a low point, I've been a bit melancholy but I allowed myself some time to reminisce a little. I played some music and looked at photos, then I had a little nap. I'm sure there will be more days like this but there will also be good days.
Eventually the good days will outnumber the sad ones and I will be able to live a fulfilled and happy life.
Hold your head up high, best forward and don't look back. It will soon be Christmas and then before you know it spring will be just round the corner. The sun will shine and you will smile and laugh again.
In the meantime keep warm, see friends, do things that give you pleasure, get out the house, lots of TLC and of course lots of fabbing.0 -
Katie-cat, I've been there, done the clearing-up & had a fantastic few years with my 2 boys before they both left home. Yes, it's hard and lonely, and you will have down days, but they will lessen and your life will be a different one where you make your own choices. Good luck - the first thing I did was to shuffle my bedroom around to suit me & my clothes2021 Decluttering Awards: ⭐⭐🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇 2022 Decluttering Awards: 🥇

Katie... Big hugs and hope you are ok.. If a bit tender. The hardest day is over. There will still be tears and difficult days but it's time to make it you and your boys home. Move your bedroom about and get a new duvet cover & sheet ( if you can. Primark does nice ones cheaply) make it nice a fresh for you..

Things plod along here as usual.. Fabbing comes in bursts.. Sometimes with jobs I'm so tired I just eat & sleep. Had a viewer at flat so fingers crossed. I'm really hoping it goes this time .
Went to gym with kettle bells tonight so will be sore tomorrow but a good sore. ( I think!!)
Hope everyone is well.. Take care x0 -
Well I made it and he has gone.
I am planning this new chapter in my life -it was not what I planned(not sure who said that- sorry)but its what I have to deal with. He left quite a mess behind him but my very special boys have set to and cleaned up.
I know there will be difficult days ahead but today was a difficult day and I got through it.
Many thanks for all your kind messages on here. I read them and feel sure it will all come good in time!
Katiecat

maman Hope you manage to re-arrange your hair appointment soon. It's better if you don't have to rush it and can enjoy the experience and pampering.
nilequeen I will have to keep my eyes out for the Miami and New York ones and have a watch. They really are addictive!!! I saw the Cheshire one advertised I will try and catch that with it being England :T I use to watch the 'Scousewives' (I think it was on C4/E4), not quite as glam but addictive all the same. :rotfl: Don't worry the little ramble is just what I think
katie Chin up sweets!! He is an a**e for leaving a mess behind, good of your boys tidying thoughOnward and upward!!
sweetcheeks Ooo I did a Kettlebell class the beginning of the summer and I was sore the next day, how are you feeling? It's good fun though isn't it!! You have made me think when bootcamp finishes over the Christmas period I might go back and do that until it restarts hmm..
Not much fabbing here yesterday/today other than the usual. Went for my Monday night run and we did just short of 2 miles, lapped the village (lots of hills) so a sore bum and thighs today! Hopefully will get myself a face mask and eyebrows done tonight as they need a little tidying!Christmas is the most magical time of the year :santa2:

NEWTHRIFT I enjoyed your ramble and I missed the scousewives.
You missed the Miami Housewives, they were on in
Sept on itvbe. Still you never know might be repeated,
Will inform you on here if they return!
I quite like Lisa the Brit on the bev hills one, she sort of
freshens it up with her posh Englishisms, which the rest
of them just don`t get.
Don`t like Kim, she is a waste of space.
Who is your fave?
The Atlanta ones are really interesting as well. Fiery!0 -
Evening Ladies
I went to the Christmas markets today and saw a lovely python handbag, very similar in style to the Kipling bags but leather with a similar strap. I will think about it a bit more as I bought a fuchsia snake and normal snake one in summer. They make great ipad carriers, also good for airport handbag.
Also bought a pair of headphones for ipad air from Apple £25.00
Bought another Ossie Clarke dress in royal blue.Same as the pink one I bought a couple of weeks ago, they look like two different dresses though they are identical only different colours. Reduced to £20.00, quelle bargain!
I wanted to get ingrediants to make Gino`s meatballs today, but went to M&S, their sale was a disappointment so no fabbing in there.
Ended up in the food hall, as you do and tried a lovely warm mince pie full of brandy and the pastry was gorgeous, I was very naughty and bought one albeit £1.30 for 1, bought a doughnut as well and a slice of luxury carrot cake.
The chickenmince meatballs were delicious in a pasatta sauce with basil, served with crusty bread fresh salad and linguine.
Also ventured into the fish market and bought two hake for £11, for 2 klilos. I am making 12 spice fish, good for winter .
In the end my knee started playing up so returned early, just as well seeing I was cooking.
Will work off those naughty treats, I promise.0 -
nilequeen Yes I like Lisa, I have actually started 'following' her on instagram
As I haven't watched many yet I get a bit mixed up with names and I don't know if some of them aren't ''regular'' one's on. I do agree about Kim, she just seems mardy in the one's I have watched!!
I can see I will be watching on youtube to catch up on some others :rotfl:
Done my hair a little bit different for work today, ponytail as normal but have twisted my fringe across one side and griped it. Finally sorted my brows this morning  Had a couple of matchmakers last night with OH whilst we sat with a cuppa but have eaten pretty well continually, with the odd treats, so quite happy with that. I can feel the difference!!Christmas is the most magical time of the year :santa2:
