    Hi all

I'm excited for my first flylady week :j

    Today I have:
    1. Done two loads of washing which are both drying
    2. Stripped and remade bed - bedding is in WM overnight (not that it makes any difference as my tariff is apparently the same all the time!)
    3. Made lunch for next 3 days
    4. Finalised budgets as much as I can for July (starts Thursday for me financially) plus meal plan for the whole month
    5. Fed and watered all the animals and spent time with the furries (I have 5 rescue animals - 2 crested geckos in separate terrariums called Pablo and Leonard, a Syrian hamster called Houdini and 2 degus called Crichton and Darwin. Every night I let Houdi out for an hour or two in the spare room where I keep all the animals [it's also my office and library!] and I play with the degus in their cage as they are still fairly new and we aren't at the letting them out of the cage stage yet! So animals get about an hour of my time in the evening)

Here is my first attempt at a daily list:

    Daily Routines
    1. Load dishwasher and put on if full
    2. Feed hamster and degus
    3. Feed geckos (every other day)
    4. Wipe down kitchen surfaces
    5. Soak any beans etc for next day's meal plan if needed
    6. Put any clothes away that aren't for washing
    7. Make lunches if needed

Musty Monday ~ Kitchen and Dining Room
    15 minutes...

Wipe window sills and clean windows in these rooms
    Sweep and mop the floor
    Clear and wipe worksurfaces
    30 minutes to spare...
Sort fridge - clean out any spills or grots in there!
    Wipe down kettle
    Got an hour...
Clean cupboard door fronts and fronts of appliances
Clean oven if you didn't do it last week

Can I ask a really stupid question please? How do you clean your ovens? I don't want to buy one of those kits because I try and keep my cleaning as natural as possible but I honestly don't know where to start... :o

  • Hi all - thanks for the challenge update.

Just to be prepared I'll warn you that I will the "f word" - miserably!!! Glad that I managed to lose three more lbs before our holiday as my scales today say I have put back on 5lbs - in 8 days!!!!!! The food was superb however and included alcoholic drinks with meals and that was flowing freely so it is no wonder!!

Will be playing holiday catch up this week - with a day out in a "Beeb" volunteer expert t shirt tomorrow for local Lives of WWI roadshow, vol job at Museum on Wed and moving son into new property on Friday. This will be a very good week but don't expect much flying will be done!

Have a good day everyone and will try and read back on last week's thread later.

Thank you Natty for this week's lists, Dusty for last, and Bossy for keeping us focused on our challenges. I shall be flying mainly off-list again this week because of various meetings to attend and visits to be made to friends and relatives, but the house was cleaned all through before we came away and we haven't been there to mess it up!

I shall have to carry some bits of my challenge over to July - especially "lose another 5lb" - but I have or will soon have completed others, so all is not lost.

Hope you soon feel better Froddy.

Hugs, spoons and sticks to all x

    Morning all

DS3 away, I'm off to wake DS2 for his last day of revision and then into the shower before making sure DS1 is up for work, then I shall fly before heading to town.

    Morning all :D

DD actually managed to get herself up and sorted this morning without too much nagging :D It was just the post breakfast cleaning of teeth etc that needed hurrying up as usual ;)

Beds are airing and will be left like that all day, bathroom is clean and tidy with clean towels, livingroom blinds are in the WM after a bird pooped on them through the open window  (windows covered over with some kids drawing paper I'm thankful I have in!), my laptop is running its checks, sent DD a 'good luck with your exams' message as I forgot to say it this morning and I'm just finishing my breakfast. Not bad at all considering I didn't start until nearly 7.30!

I'm going to finish my dailies while my computer finishes, I'll rehang the blinds as soon as they're done, and then I need to get on with paid stuff. Might see you all later for a HHC if my brain needs a break
