I have raised a complaint and explained that I will cancel the direct debit in August if they have not agreed to remove the increase. At no point during the sales process did they mention they have the right to raise the price so early into the contract. I was quoted my repayments for the next year and took that on good faith that they were "fixed".
If they want to take me to court, I will let them because this is clearly miss-selling in an attempt to gain an unfair advantage over their competition by "appearing" to be cheaper.
Avoid Sky at all costs - disgusting company to do business with!
You are still within your cooling-off period which lasts until the 28th of July (if you activated on the 27th of June) so you can still cancel if you want to, unless you're just trolling. Better to just call and cancel as if you just cancel the direct debit you will get 11 months of early termination charges instead.0 -
does anyone know the specific terms which allows them to do this?0

It's in the Ts & Cs that are available on the Sky website. It's 10% or RPI, whichever is greater.0 -
RPI = Retail Price index.0
