Well they have got to replace the income they will lose when changing to a 0344 number somehow.
And they money they waste trying to get old customers to come back.0 -
I cancelled Sky over 4 years ago. Got sick of the annual price rises and the constant repeats and adverts. In the end the only thing I was watching was Wheeler Dealers, and there is still ways and means of watching that.
Not surprised that the Sky model hasn't changed, wheel the unsuspecting in with bargain deals then steadily put the price up. I also hear that they now make a surcharge if you don't take their landline and broadband. Does that also apply vice versa if you take their phone/broadband but not the TV? :rotfl:0 -
Sky Go will no longer be available to Sky TV subscribers for free via XBox 360 consoles, it's been reported.
Xbox 360 users (and users of other consoles when available) will require the paid version of Sky Go (Sky Go Extra- £5 per month) to access the service on consoles from 29th July 2014.

MoneySavingExpert.com's senior consumer analyst, Sally Francis says: "An up to 10% price rise is a substantial increase, especially when some Sky TV packages can cost around £70/month as it stands – this'll take bills to nearly £80 a month.
"Customers should be given plenty of warning before the increases hit – and be offered a way out if it becomes unaffordable."
Surely if someone's finances are so precarious that they cannot afford a £10 per month increase, then they should not be paying for a subscription TV package in the first place?0 -

the total to £80 with no corresponding increase in the service provided and at a time when people are taking pay cuts etc.0 -

Been this way for a long while in that you get the broadband for £2.50 less if you have a TV package, as mine's just gone up as I cancelled the TV.
Wasn't aware that you pay more for the TV if you don't have other services though. Possibly got your wires crossed or is it a new development?0 -
With Skys users numbers having plateaued, ie they will no longer get any more than what they have, City analysts predicted a sharp increase in the ARPU (average revenue per customer) to continue the coin rolling in.0
