So - a progress report:
Good things
A couple more TTs (but a bit thin on the ground)
Car got through MOT and had a full service
Did a good karma thing in driving a friend to hospital, 9 hours driving _pale_
Transfered some spends to a 0% card to free up cash needed in next few weeks
Not as good
Car stuff including insurance has been £450 this month
Lots of petrol on drive, will hopefully get most of it back but not yet
Bit anxious about all the stuff to pay for
Why can't solicitors, agents etc communicate like other people???
Hoping to exchange this week and complete next. DS's birthday next week too. He has requested carrot cake but no inpiration for presents is forthcoming!
Hope everyone is having a good week and getting some sunshine!

9 more days! You can count down in single digits now.

(Assuming your provisional completion date is holding...)Do you know anyone who's bereaved? Point them to https://www.AtaLoss.org which does for bereavement support what MSE does for financial services, providing links to support organisations relevant to the circumstances of the loss & the local area. (Link permitted by forum team)
Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.

Starting with the Annoying things today:
Did not exchange yesterday - ahhrgh. Hope there is still time to do this next week and still complete on Friday, awaiting news from solicitor.
Can't move onto my To Do List for after exchange
Carpets were measured and there was an extra piece of hallway, not on the plans, that increases the bill by £140.
Ok, small good things and things to be grateful for:
More TTs and trans of 123 commission =£5.02
Carpets are still a good deal - very trustworthy company
At OH's this weekend getting treated like a princess
Appoinment booked to collect keys next Friday (SIX DAYS!), fingers crossed
Hoping that this is the last little bit of tension and then we'll be in! Work has been a bit mental so not been doing much reading this week. Hope everyone is doing well.

Haha! Thanks - organised chaos!
Today - day off work due to cystitis
too much information - sorry!
Message from solicitor - no new exchange date but working towards 'simultaneous exchange and complete' on Friday. Is there a fingers crossed smiley?
Had to take bunny to the vet to be spayed, a difficult decision as she is a house bunny so we didn't think she needed it done, but she is an anxious, angry and often downright dangerous to be with bunny so this is a possible solution. She'll be living ourdoors after we move, and we need to be able to handle her more easily (i.e. without taking our lives into our hands...). She is home and a bit wobbly but all seems to be well.
Popped to Ald! for some bits and vowed (not for the first time) to do more shopping there - spent £20 and checked on mysoopermrket - the same things would have cost at least £6 more at Tezco.
Drove past new house to check it was still there (it was
). Peered in windows and decided huge freezer will (still) not fit in the kitchen. Am pathologically attached to huge freezer. House has smaller (perfectly adequate for normal people) freezer built in. Discussion with DD: what if there is a zombie apocolypse... and we only have a small freezer and therefore not enough food to survive? Decided huge freezer may have to go in one of the bedrooms...
Meals for week:
Tonight - pasta, pesto, veg (yum)
Tues - hm potato salad, leaves, burgers from freezer
Weds - hm made potato wedges, veg, things from the freezer
Thurs - DS's birthday - treat trip to Yo Sushi followed by hm carrot cake
Fri - if we have completed picnic in garden of new house!!
Sat - quorn and mushroom curry
Can't believe how dependent on my spreadsheet I am (just the one at the moment, I know I am a novice!) - can't update as I don't know when mortgage and other payments will go out, arghh it is driving me crazy! Patience patience.

My sis and BIL had simultaneous exchange and complete when they bought theirs, all was well so fingers crossed for you for Friday! Weather forecast is good too, which makes life easier and means you might well get your picnic in new garden as planned.
