Does Dad still pay council tax, water , electric, Sky , phone , broadband too or is he used to budgeting for these ?
So basically he's offered to cover about 40% of your childcare in term-time and 5% in the holidays.
If it's all pooled anyway it'll shake down and you'll both fine tune a bit anyway-so it's all good. Glad you talked it through-and maybe something to remember about talk to him before worrying yourself over something in future

Sorry, do you mean OH's Dad or DD's Dad? He didn't mention helping with childcare he just adjusted the payment of maintenance, regardless of how it gets spent based on his income increase. But to me he should be paying an extra £15 a week as his wage has gone up £100.PAD 2023 Debt total as of Dec 2022 £18,988.63*April £17,711.03

It's reassuring that he's thinking like that but did you go through the figures as well so that he understands the costs involved in running a house?
He's been living a very sheltered financial life up until now - virtually everything he's earned has been spending money.0 -

He has seen me going through the costs, as we did this the other night when I mentioned how much childcare would be costing me, but I will do a detailed SoA when he's next at mine and ensure he knows the accurate costs involved.PAD 2023 Debt total as of Dec 2022 £18,988.63*April £17,711.03

That's great news. Great that you've discussed it, great that you've come to an agreement and great that it is an agreement that suggests you are working as a team for the good of the team.krustylouise wrote: »OH and I discussed this at great length last night and we have decided it would be easier to pool all money and use the same account to pay for all expenses. It would be boring on here if everyone did things perfectly straight away...Why didn't I just mention it to him first!?!?

Now all I need is for him to stop leaving his dirty socks lying around and we're laughing....PAD 2023 Debt total as of Dec 2022 £18,988.63*April £17,711.03
