I have been but I'm often working on my own, and aside a tea break together, the interaction is a little sparse. Not that I'm not grateful for it, but perhaps I need something a bit more lively.
No ones fault, I think perhaps its just a case of trying to get a bit busier whilst raising some funding, therefore I'm thinking a wee p/t job might help on both fronts.Cheery_Daff wrote: »Oops, missed you there!

I've been handwashing a fair bit, surprising how you don't miss a machine as much as you'd think, but for the larger things defo!
Poor Greta - I'm still in two minds it would mean getting anohter hen house (she's currently living in the greenhouse) but we'll see I do fret for her as she's quite sociable but clearly terrified.
I've a 'proper story' and a comedy story drafted, who knows which one I'll go for and do I adopt a 'pen name'.

Oh poor Greta. *checks DH can't see what I'm about to wirte* we'd have her in a second! Doubt she'd be as easy to post as two barbie's mind you. (Thanks for those DD was thrilled! - although they did get a telling off for hiding and overstaying their welcome :rotfl:)

Shame that Greta is so unloved by the others:(, if you decided to try and keep her, might you be able to get an unwanted kennel or large hutch from freegle or the like and give her an enclosure of her own? It's strange how some just don't fit in, sadly I guess it applies to some people too:(The best thing about the future is that it comes one day at a time. (Abraham Lincoln)0

Are there rules about submitting more than one story? Get them both in - under two separate pen names if necessary!
I heard Ruth Rendall on the radio the other day and she has a pen name too so if it's good enough for her...
Just been to see Ron Finley - do you know him? Bloke from LA, started growing veg on the grass verge outside his house and they tried to arrest him - they ended up changing the law to make growing veg on grass verges legal. I'd never heard of him but thought the talk sounded interesting (And it was free :rotfl: ) but clearly I'm the only one as there were several hundred people there and he was on Radio 4 yesterday :rotfl:
Here he is http://ronfinley.com/
Apparently he's done one of those Ted talk things too0 -
I just watched his TED talk and that's fascinating! I love the idea of what he's doing.
I wish I had even half a clue about growing food - we have a good patch of back garden and I'm fairly sure it would be usable for growing food but I don't really know where to start!0 -
Cheery, that sounds a brilliant talk - your neck of the woods is such a lively place!
Pippi, go for it with the stories - and yes, both, why not?
Moomin!!! You have to! Even if its just a row of 99p fruit bushes from a poundland shop! Or some rhubarb plants ... or chives, like I'm about to plant. Never mind. Pippi will tell you, the goddess of gardening2023: the year I get to buy a car0
