  • Cookies and cake, you all do know how to spoil a gal!

    :)

Morning RT - hows Mr RT (not the boss man) :) and KC well done on that cup -- the kettles on again. Washing is out and time for a plan.

Done an hour or so of 'work' work, now to ponder things.

    I do think I need a p/t job........

  • £133.89 petrol spends in Sept so far. BOO.

Not really very good. I've some expenses coming for some of it but this really needs reelling in a bit.

OK so DS voting accounts for £25.10 of it (you see I do keep a keen eye)
And, TRG being in America on tour amounts for more as I had to take DS to work x 6 times (70 miles a trip) 420 miles = c£50 petrol spend.

    Just thinking outloud really.

Ooft that's a fair whack of money to spend

So far this month I've spent £20.51 and we still have almost half a tank :rotfl: That's what comes of not really using the car much through the week. The trouble comes as soon as we leave the city - the guage drops like a stone

    ...Cookies and cake...

I've been told they should be refered to as biscuits and sweet!:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Pips I'm loving the piccie (on Bof F) of poor Haggis at the gate - he's looking mighty upset!

Thank-you so much for asking after Mr RT Pips - very sweet of you. My OH (Mr RT) is doing OK but a bit overwhelmed by the sorting of the 'estate' - he gets the paperwork end of it all - I use the term 'estate' loosely - am quite sure you lovely ladies do not want to hear the terms I was using over the weekend whilst cleaning out mum-in-laws house! I have a new respect for minimalism!

    OUCH!
(Can DS contribute to any of that as much of it was his travel? - Will run and hide now for daring to suggest it!)

OUCH indeed RT and yes he will be at the agreed rate :) (£3/day) which he's sorted with TRG when he got his job. :) I'll be getting me mitts on some of that :)

As to estate cleaning, I hear you me dear. :) fingers crossed its all sorted soon.

Mooomin - ah the joys of city life. I do like living rurally but its needed to be tempered a bit with common sense in these here parts, anyone would think I've been on holiday this past three months :)
My petrol was previously covered largely by work, so its a bit of a wake up.

We also had a rather large couple of family meals/get togethers which has put the 'treats spend' rather over.

October is visitor free month. :)

Work expenses for learning factory sorted (£127.12) yet to get.
Work expenses for wombles (c£142.69) about to be sent.

£20/invoice to write for work I forgot about.

Chook food purchased £18.10/£3 for eggs so far this time. Will see if we can cover that by selling eggs. I've reduced them to £1 a half doz - couldn't justify £1.50 for posh. There's nowt posh about me. But they do need some straw too must see how cheap I can get some locally.

  • Guess the holiday's over eh.

Time to fathom the forward plan, have been a bit flumoxed about this one.

Its a balance between working from home and work based social interaction I think requires sought. (and petrol balanced with effort/accountability)

    Ponders ponders ponders

  • Posted some work stuff and used mileage to do so :) (trying to learn here)

Think I'll do a couple hours in the garden as I'm in thinking mode.

Asking TRG to bring the washing home from the flat :) as its sort of on his way. Must fathom a plan for a long term washing machine which isn't 18 miles away.

Really thinking we can't have two seperate chicken squads. Whatever we try with the lady Greta she just won't integrate with the other hens. I think she might need to get rehomed, I don't really have the space for two sets of hens and only one hen house.

Sad but not sure how else to do it, shes still being massivley attacked whether you put one timid hen in with her or her in the garden loose with the hens, not sure what sort of hormone she's wafting about but its antagonising everyone else.

Started to look over my efforts for a local writing competition. Prize is £100 which is highly unlikely but less so if you don't try eh?

Cuppa then out to the coal face I think.

Ah yes, working from home does get rather lonely at times... Are you still volunteering at the garden? :)
