Thanks Pips & KC & M21 for your loving messages re: mum-in-law. OH is going through ups and downs about it, mainly cause he's left to sort out the aftermath. My job is to nag & support (as usual). Is it terrible to say I'm happy she is no longer suffering? The last 72 hours were rough emotionally as we stayed with her for most of it. The tough old bird had lived a good long life & was ready to pass on.:heart2::heart2::heart2:
    ...Shh don't tell
...Tell OH that asking me about plants is tantamount to listening to a monologue for a very long time
    ...As for wreathes...

    Don't worry Pips it's our secret - won't tell a soul;)
OH thinks your plant enthusiasum is wonderful!
    & thank-you for the wreath linkie - it's a lovely idea!

Have a look at this linkie that was forwarded to me 'from across the pond' - wreath overkill! - video after video :D (Thank goodness I only have two outside doors - three if we're counting the gate!)

Not at all terrible. In fact it shows you care. No one should have to suffer IMO and he fact that she is in a better (pain free) place now then that is a good thing. ((((((((Hugs))))))))) to you and Mr RT

I'll never have a kitchen as pretty as that while I live in this flat, but we have the first step of getting it refitted being done this weekend and I'm so excited :j
Good for you, moomin! To my everlasting shame, I told the people that I bought this house from that I didn't want the wood stove that was here :o I remember endless freezing mornings as a teenager when my brother was cleaning ours out, first thing in the morning, and I knew I couldn't do it myself. Well, I couldn't do it regularly, thats true, but I'd feel a lot easier about this winter if I had one. Sigh ... yours is lovely, Pippi

Of course not terrible! She was ready to go. I remember my nan being like that. A word though - I lived one horribly unforgettable night in an intensive care unit while my brother in law died, and it affected me much more than I realised at the time. Take care of yourselves, in all seriousness.

    Much love.

Pippi - remember what Cheery said. You're FAB! People love reading your stuff. People love buying what you've grown. Nuff said :j

Thanks KC & Starnac for your kind words!

Pippi's virtual kitchen is such a lovely warm place to be!

Pips, your chicks are doing wonderfully! Spotted them on the book of face - lucky girls to be rescued & loved by you!

    xxx

Happy Thursday to you all and again thanks for so many nice comments you're so lovely.

Its been a funny day. Fine, but a bit neither this or that.

We're setting up camp here at Stripey HQ duvets and all for a (hope) all-nighter to watch the outcome of the referendum. We'll probably snooze through lots of it.

Whichever way tonight/tomorrow goes, its so fantastic to see so many voters engaged.

Well you should all be proud of the massive turnout and while I know there will be disappointment about the result, it was quite a close call!

Good Morning folks - sleepy pips here.

*Passes Pips a coffee to help her be unsleepy*

We too were amazed at the numbers that turned out to vote! Bossman was commenting to me yesterday that voting = one's right to have an opinion & everyone should exercise it.

    It's a washing/admin day here as well!

Unfortunately have to pull the portable airdryer out of storage as rain is the name of the game today! (Also searching for garden wellies which have been in hiding for months!)

Checked the banks as well - just enough for rent/credit card/commute fare with £15 to spare which I know was accounted for something but can't remember what atm! Payday can't come soon enough! (11 days to go).

We scored some marvelous meat bargains yesterday. Two chooks (that was whispered) & some beef frying steak - meant to be £6 for the lot but a link-save kicked in & we only shelled out £2.50! Some loverly organic sausage 12/£1.90 and stewing lamb for £2 - that's us set up for a while. - OH's wine cost about the same, but he did point out it was a red stickered bottle & he'd 'saved' 1/3:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:Not so sure about that logic?!? :oI was only slightly embarassed when the mark-down man strolled up to me and asked if I'd like to trade trollies:o:rotfl:He knows my face & actually offers me first choice - WOW what a result!:o OH laughed for at least 20 mins!

Pips - Just saw your appley abundance of the BofFace - am imagining your loverly kitchen filled with the smells of cinnamon & sugar - what are you planning to cook up?
