Hello Pips and welcome back! Glad you had a great time and hope you manage the unpack/repack thing and the work trip all goes smoothly too. Certainly got lots going on there!
We are still getting to know our girls - and the good news is that the broken eggs were actually caused by fragile shells so all is remedied now!

Waves to RT
thank you I did (sort of).
Hello hello hello.
We, is, home alone.
Now don't let on, lets just enjoy the peace for five mins.
Peedie update.
Holiday good - not too overspendy I have a cool new swiss hat
5 days FULL paid work last week and my student is now qualified. Clever lass. Nice to be up north again, but nice to come home so the move is really something for the best for me.
That was nice to feel. Cos, changes etc, you always wonder if you've done the right thing.
Chicken sitters fabby - thanks hugely to them and spending some time with them was ace, we have two new funky cushions which we love. (must post the barbies back however.....)
DD is back, gone, back to Orkney and gone again this time to uni. She's shorter haired but suits her. Excited to be starting at uni and she managed to smuggle a car home.
DS is securing a new flat - here for 3 more weeks then his summer is over and he's heading into 3rd year. What a very lovely young man he's becoming.
Managed to travel up and down to Orkney quite cheaply and doss wiht chums
Managed to get Orkney chair home and give DS's best friend and his parents a bed for the night. Saved carriage and saw some chums. Very mse.
Had a lovely huge takeaway where we all pitched in on Friday (9 of us) - great to have such a chattery house.
Aunty Wik's daughter is now at uni locally too - so we've had a very busy house and a very social weekend. She returned the hounds from their holidays south. Its only taken them 3 days to stop sulking.
Man I'm tired!
Came home with a pesky cold.
Seems I've lost my viking blood.
The chickens are looking proper lush, even the scabbiest is looking like the feathers are about to explode all over her.
Like many parents in the UK, my cupboards and pockets are quite a bit emptier than they were last week.
Must do a proper cupboard forage today and meal plan for the rest of the month as DD has spent most of my grocery budget.
Goodluck to all who've kids starting/returning.
