Grass to mow and the lasses are all now tippytiptoppy sorted for the week.
Hope their babysitters enjoy them!
Right grass.......................you're for it.
This is marginally moneysaving as I'm doing it myselfand the roaming chook will scoff it (and the bugs) up.
So really its a recycling grass to egg mission.

Hello Pips and I hope you are having a wonderful holiday!
Since you are away that has given me a chance to finally catch up! Lots to tell you about, in summary:
School holidays going past far too fast! We've been away for a lot of them.
Spent 2 weeks at Dad's trying to sort stuff; made a bit of progress and also had a bit of fun.
Had an extreme last-minute holiday (booked early hours of same day) to Germany, met up with an old friend who lives there and her new twin boys and also met an old American friend who was touring.
Got back just in time to collect 3 re-homed ex-battery hens of our own, courtesy of the British hen welfare trust. Have now had them 2 days and got 2 eggs (but would have had 4 if one of them didn't turn out to be an egg-eater unfortunately).
Joined Bubblews as recommended by someone on MSE and have become addicted, can chat about anything and earn a bit of money which is going to pay for hen house soon! (In case you also fancy joining let me know.)
Oh and you don't have a monopoly on cabbage white caterpillar, I have removed about 200 of them from my sprout plants already.
Breakdown cover - we are with some organisation called Auto Aid via another one called Boncaster mechanical insurance. Breakdown cover £38/year and it does work - I have had occasion to try it out!
Hope you have a lovely time - hi to everyone else too!0
