Hiya Pips - so nice to have you back and in fine form! - lists & plans & chickens to boot!
Have only just figured out you've sent a PM - SORRY - technical hitch - work blocks pop-ups - sigh! - will write you a nice reply this weekend!
Have just taken a looooooonnnnggg lunch and caught up on various bloglets & mse diaries - wow i've missed sooooo much of life "in-the-box"!
On the food front - OH made Cottage & Roots Pie from an A&C recipe - soooooo yummy - would have served 8 if we had been more restrained - made about 6 servings & was very scrummy! (did I mention how [STRIKE]cheap[/STRIKE] frugal it was to make?)
xo RT

I am mega impressed with that one.Blackadder: Am I jumping the gun, Baldrick, or are the words 'I have a cunning plan' marching with ill-deserved confidence in the direction of this conversation?

Morning Pips & all in Stripeyland!
Thought I'd report on our deal of the week! The nice man in A$da let me have first choice of everything in his mark-down trolley! Lesson learned is to never underestimate the power of a please & thank-you! Lots of lamb for £1.50 - Butcher counter chicken wings (also £1.50) - belly strips for 75p & 8 fresh burgers for 1.50 - so all in all about a fiver for a week's worth of meat! - OH is very happy as last night's plate ratios favoured the meat - lol
We're off shortly to visit OH's [STRIKE]mom[/STRIKE] mum - she somehow 'forgot' to tell us she was admited to the hospital and has had an eye operation - we found out from his sister two days after it happened! SIGH!! - a six hour round trip out to the east coast - visiting hours at the hospital start at 2pm.
Have a lovely day all & enjoy the glorious sunshine if you've been gifted with it!4 YEARS 10 MONTHS DEBT FREE!!! Me? Nosey? Never
There's a local one for a short story I must dig out the details. I've a mind of tale of a gardening superhero in her cape dealing with evil slugs whilst the world slumbers.
I did say fiction rightlittle_sweetie wrote: »Oh, don't the chooks look bonnie, Pips. Lovely new feathers aplenty. Yes, Wales behaved very nicely and it only rained during the night
