  • Man its 'dreich' here.

    *wet/damp/miserable/grey

Spent on some fish from the fishmongers (£6.05)
Spent on some hair slobber to keep me 'bru coloured BOGOF (£4)
Spent on a pair of shoes (flat red, leather) for my interview (£4)
Got a book called 'Lobster and chips' all things potato and fish related. £1 charity shop

Got bought a coffee in town :D

Stacked the logs on yesterday's list and have cleaned the kitchen/started to put stuff on the shelves.

Fire (s) are on its just miserable. The three loads on the washing line are getting a free rinse.

Reduced chicken for tea as the visitors are turning up tonight not tomorrow as I'd thought, then again I'm a space cadet.

Bed linen aired etc just wish the rain would abait so we can plan tomorrow but forecast is looking good.

6 eggs again today bringing the total to just under 180 I think

TRG is practising a song. Has anyone ever been in close proximity to a musician practising. You do get quite familiar with the song........

Book, fire on, bit of a sit down before the chaos.

    Enjoy your saturday evening folks.

£12.05/165 grocery's for when I forget to update.

    hair...food...eggs... rain...

seems to be a theme that happened here as well...
    • haircut this morning (planned spend) - necessary evil for work - i'd emulate rampunzel given the option!
    • will colour it monday (day off) - dye is in homestocks from the last bogof - banishing the grey, once again for work
    • trip to the farm shop - some bargain veg - mega huge cauli & some other bits - all local :j - a bogof on free range eggs - £1.50 for a dozen - nectarines 4/£1 - and OH's fav 'slices' 6/£2 - and a free 'sample' of lemon curd! - amazing how much we come home with for a tenner when we go there!
    • and the weather gods can't decide if it's sunning or raining! - at least the grass and plants are happy - and the birds, who are having a worm feast!
Have a fabby time with your visitors! & enjoy your roast dinner!

Aha, I too know well the joy of being in close proximity to a musician practicing a song. You do indeed get VERY familiar with said song - possibly to the point where you know it better than they do. I recommend stepping into a large imaginary bubble and venturing out only when necessary :D

:j :j :j YAY for interview (although PAH to university job). SO excited, sounds lovely and right up your street :j :j

  • Hi Pips, Yay to red leather shoes for £4 :j can I ask were they charity shop ones? I'd love some red leather flats but the only ones I've seen were extremely expensive  so I'll have to go without. Mucho luck with the interview. Sounds right up your street....

It's a funny old day here, it doesn't know whether to rain or shine but it's drying my washing beautifully (basket now empty :T) but I have a headache....could it be the weather?? Cuppa and some painkillers calling methinks....
