  • Poor Poxy Pippi (((()))) hope they all buzz off and leave you alone soon. I too am attractive food for bugs but I've never had that many! You must be really special :)

Good luck with the greenhouse :) I'm toddling off down south to visit a pal or the evening :j :j

Enjoy the pal visit and thank you for me new name. :D

Its true I had da pox.

Bugs appear to love me, or loathe me, I guess if they bite me.

I hope you're not marathoning it too. Enjoy the weekend lovely cheery lass!

  • Grocery spends in July £168.90

A bit over budget (eek) but a busy month.

August continues to be busy I guess £160 again is about right at the moment with !!!!!!!!!!s (erm I mean family and friends staying) :D

We're also going away to the land of the best knives on the planet. So must factor that in too.

All in all I consider July expensive but successful. Five long weeks in one month.

ETA Who'd have thunk 'fr-ee-loa-de-rs' was a sweary word - well I guess its MSE afterall!

  • Yep, five weeks in July was a budget murderer and no mistake :o

Oh, and you are selling yourself cheap m'dear. In the event of your fine country going off and doing its own thing, a lot of products will have to be renamed/rebranded to appeal to the particular market - anyone remember 'Marathon', before 'Snickers' came along???? Anyhoo, you've just given the creative bods over at av0ncalling the 'heads up' on the new north o' the border name - 'Skinny McSoftie'. I'll back you up if you have to fight for royalties, Dear Heart :D:rotfl:

Right, better get some work done.....

Me too!! I think the swear checker is a bit too eager sometimes.

Hope you are not too itchy pippi. Another long list of things to do.

We are having a quiet ish weekend after camping last weekend. DD has her swimming lesson early then we'll pop to my mums and have a catch up. Must factor in a long run (6miles maybe so not that long) sometime over the weekend. DH is working so just me and the kiddies :D

I have lurked along on your diaries for years, I think I found you when seeking some information about a plant. I rarely pop my head up over the parapet, but after reading your wonderful post on Greying's diary, just wanted to say that I think that you really belong here too, like Greying you are a great provider of thrifty tips, yummy recipes, great humour and much support to your real life and virtual friends. So pleased that you have decided to stay around.

I am loving the news on the chooks, and following the developing of your new to you garden along with the great gardening advice.

Boo to the insect bites, I had something similar happen a few years ago when Blackberry picking, quite why they chose me is a mystery. My stand by to anoint the itchy bits is Tea Trea Oil, helps stop them going septic when accidently!! scratched too.:(

You should try Avon's Skin So Soft Original dry oil spray for stopping the insect bites. I'm prone to getting bites when I'm in the garden and someone told me about this, so got a bottle, and spray it on when I go in the garden or out anywhere that I'm likely to get bitten, and so far this summer I have only had the odd bite not as so many as I usually get.
  • February Cat - thank you for popping in and telling me that - will see if I can borrow some.

I think I'm some kind of bug cat nip.

Maddiemay - thank you very much for such a lovely post. Its hard sometimes to think about where you belong especially since the idea of no cc debt is utterly mindblowing. I'll thank you kindly for your lovely words, plant advice of course anytime and the chooks you'll be glad to know are putting on a good show of feathers. Must get some photos of them soon.

One is charging about the garden at the moment terrorising the dogs.

Starnac you know I@d never be mean about me chums.

:D enjoy the weekend with the tiddlers.

Cheery it has gone a bit bonkers hasn't it.

Greying I'll split the royalties with ya. Supposing the vote goes that way or maybe we can convince them to rebrand anyway.

    :)

Little sweetie sorry I missed you earlier - he's bought a loaf of tiger bread and a large tub of butter too.

    Bless him. Exciting indeed.

Aside the bites. yuk they are too and I've stopped the meds as they made me feel too sleepy so later on I'll have a cocktail of all sorts all over me.

These wee bugs seek out cosy bits covered up. Unless I'm a naked gardener I don't think I stand a chance out there at the mo.

And, I'm not that kind of girl.
