Good stuff EH :) safe travels me dear. :) just checked both girls are out side where they should be and not in the freezer.

    Its my weekend. WOO HOO.

Will do timesheet on Monday 25 hours me thinks.

I might be tanned or I might be muddy. Only the shower will tell.

Nothing free scored at work today - shoddy or what. Although it looks like I have taken home a fair bit of compost and possibly spiders in my hair.

    :D

    Morning lovely.

When you remember I'll have a cuppa waiting.

Up early as the forecast for today isn't great and I want to get in my own garden for as much as I can, if not 9 hours :D

Thinking about putting the wood stove on in the kitchen as its very cold. Or maybe its just me!

Drizzly so I'll have to wrap up whatever I do and I think the washing is an indoor dry today.

Used up more wild garlic at Tea last night. Ended up with some reduced pork steaks, tatties and a wild garlic sauce. Was lush.

Am thinking however, of taking my own advice. A herb patch half way up the garden is no use. I'm going to do a tub outside the kitchen door.

I'd tell anyone else this is the most sensible place for it. :rotfl:

Lots of plants to get in.

First of all though a hot drink and a wee bit of brekkie.

    Morning lands.

Seeing mortgage adviser later on. Thinking about switching to a better deal as we were locked in for two years. And, looking to get the best mortgage deal to over pay. We could up the payments but given the industry that DH is in and its volatility, we think a low % rate and an option to repay at least 10% balance is most sensible. Overpaying by 400 at the moment takes a good 6 years off the time and £24k saving. Not to be sniffed at.

Mind on now, EH is the queen of this malarkey.

I was skimming and thought you said the wild garlic tea was lush. I had to retread that bit.
I happy to find you aren't making tea out of wild garlic!
Overprepare, then go with the flow.

Mila that made me giggle. No not tea but Tea (with a capital T) our evening meal if you're not posh is called Tea do you call it that were you are? (If you are feeling posh sometimes you call it Supper, with a capital S not to be confused with 'supper' small s = snack before bed.)

I love at work we have lots of foreign students, as if the accents up here aren't bad enough, explaining the crazy things we call meals is very funny. (Dinner being Lunch is one of the faves.)

    Life is confusing. :D

Some nice wild garlic recipes here. We make the wild garlic pesto at work, but it can blow your head off with its strength, use sparingly.

    Yes Greying we've missed you!

The recipe is one I have now bookmarked, along with the Tom yum soup, which I love but have never made. We grow lemon grass in a big pot, but I had to order the kifer lime leaves. I'm very excited to make that soup. I once got a few sprigs of lemon grass and stuck it in some soil. I have ended up with a great big pot of it. I mostly ignore it and it has become a houseplant. This will be a great way to tin it out.

We call the evening meal dinner. When I was growing up it was usually called supper, but has evolved into dinner with supper being a lighter evening meal if you aren't doing much.

Jealous of the lemon grass growing Mila - enjoy when you manage to try the soup.

    :)

Sometimes we call Tea dinner too. Lifes quite fun isn't it.

Today well i need a plan as it could easily be spent doing not much.

Plants in the ground is a priority.
    Washing needs done.
At least one room a 15 minute blast
Work on weeding rota for the garden at home (we do this at work) I'm trying to do a 'fly lady' for the garden type approach. *not letting my perfectionism get in the way.**
    Mutts need a walk
Tomato plants to retreave from the local growing place, they do a great job when I'm just too busy
Grow bags - source cheapest and buy around 15 I think.
    Hens to clean out
Need top up the house wood but not chopped any lately might do some wood later
Not really needing much in the way of a top up shop might hit the COOP later and snargle the reduced sections for fodder.
Various windows to clean here - must start them.
Bathroom got a clean last night after bath, need to do the wee loo
    Put clothes away
think aobut moving sofa which has been ousted by the desk. (Living room?)
Cook that chicken, it never made it in the oven last night.
    Banks
    CC's
Arrange to talk to DD about budget now she's working
Arrange to go to DS for his stuff next week I guess?
Write up what folks we went on holiday with owe me and email them.
    Indoor mowing.

I'm sure there will be more.

    Time for another cuppa

Fire is on in kitchen and thinking latterly I think I'll just boil this chicken and pick the meat off whilst the stove is on.
