Mila I'm so sorry about your friend and that attitude. OH's old town was rife with similar issues. Dreadful.
Link for soup here
Greying - that's really expensive for roobarb. At work we have mountains of it. They're putting a basket in the cafe saying £1 a bunch. Sorry you're not closer. Our local NT place hosts the Scottish collection (roobarb not plates or furniture) so you often see lots of crazy varieties. I don't know how much though.......
And, as for cookalongapip - think Calamaty Jane tries to cook. Crash helmets required. I actually learnt to cook before I learnt to garden and the gardening was fuelled by my then veggie (for 12 years) needs to have fresh veg not bendy ones. Both have progressed ever since.
BBQ - I grew up in the med and there was lots of haulomi and courgettes/sweetcorn bbq'd I love sweetcorn done on the bbq. I've not ventured much back into veg cooking on there but do try and balance the meat with the veg as I can. As for mouse cheese on the BBQ (haullomi) man its awesome. Unless you forget about it then you can build houses from it.
Nothing wonderous happenned yesterday aside a bit of coronation chicken with leftovers.
Oh I did make some rhubarb juice, I went a bit off piste and instead of straining the rhubarb I whizzed it with a hand blender and lobbed in a bit of citric acid to counter the sweet (although it was half sugar half stevia)
Need to work on that recipe a bit. It's 'OK' but not wowser-lush.
Mr Me did love it though, and for him to like it, well he does have exceptional taste.
Work today involves a glass house opening.....:) best get the wellies on.

Mmmmmm - cheese on the BBQ - sounds heavenly - it's wonderous enough that the mere thought of it will get me through the day - and it's going to be a wowser of one!:D (the day that is, not the thought of cheese!)4 YEARS 10 MONTHS DEBT FREE!!! We will have crumble for us tea! We also have I-scream in the freezer, score!
Got given some asparrowgrass too
:D Even had time to drink me tea as a cwtch-fest ensued and i had nowt to do with me arms for at least 1hr!
Hope you've polished up those wellies if there is a glass-house unveiling - did you have to wear a hat too? And curtsey to anyone??? (on second thoughts, she's at that village show down in londinium town, ain't she? - or was that yesterday?)

woo hoo to roobarb and sparra grass.
and free arms for a while.
So don't eat the sparra grass with the i-scream right.........
Glasshouses were opened by local TV presenter as we already have lords and ladies at work I guess I should practise my knee bending but as I see her everyday maybe not eh?
I totally forgot I'd be going and was my normal scruffy self. But had a good natter with de-man-from-da-telly about vibirnums.
RT hope the day wasn't as wowser as predicted. As for not having grilled cheese yet, my my I'm shocked.
OH is off being wonderous in the land of northern oil, so I'm home alone for tea, some chinese dumplings are steaming away. Shh don't say.
Spent some money on plants today at work, my usual one hours worth. Got a few nice things too including a couple of these. Non-edible but gawjus
Oh work offered me saturday hours which I politely declined as I'm far too old to work at weekends unless its crazy busy, but asked if DS might have them for a while. Looks like that might work. So the minute he's home he's off working one day at least anyway. I'm kind like that.Total debt 26/4/18 <£1925 we were getting there.

I bookmarked the soup recipe and that will be dinner tomorrow. Thanks so much for the repost!
Tonight I pulled frozen cheese pizzas out that have been in the freezer for ??? long. I'm scrambling hamburger, onions and green chile to use as a topping. DH gave me the one eyed look when I was describing dinner (I think he was with me last year:eek: when I bought those pizzas) so maybe I'll add extra mozz to cheer him up.:D
Still on my mission to use up what we have in our freezers.:A
I have never tasked rhubarb or cheese on the BBQ. I lead a vey sheltered life.
Just tequila and year round mexican food for me.:cool:Overprepare, then go with the flow.

Well done on the freezer eats Mila sounds yum - and as for mexican food and tequila I think that qualifies as 'not a dull life'.
And, as rhubarb comes originally from Siberia, I'm thinking your climate isn't really suited to it.
I am awake due to some kind of bear being present in my bedroom, or at least that's what it sounded like.
So I put up a wee blog. Non commercial Link here

Garden wages are in but the womble cheque still isn't cleared. I guess its having a wee holiday in the bank.
Paid £50 to DD uni funds
Paid £100 to CC toward food and £100 petrol from wages, paid £200 for purchases from OH to me on my card.
Must message those folks about the £50 which is theirs on my card.
No money left. Aint that always the way.
Must review food spends. Like really. And think about how much I need to up the budget with DS home next week. DD is staying and working in the big smoke for the summer.Total debt 26/4/18 <£1925 we were getting there.
