:T You have had a prosperous day! Well done!

My poor daughter still doesn't have her kitchen remodel finished, (Started in Nov) as the electrical didn't pass final inspection. She said the inspector was so miffed at the electricitan that he is making him do every little thing 100% correctly. Serves him right :naughty: as he has been the main reason the remodel was held up. He kept not showing up and that put all the other trades behind. I told her that I'm glad the inspector is ultra picky as that will cut down on future problems.

I'm trying to use up some of these grains I have sitting around in jars. I'm soaking steel cut oats to make cookies tomorrow. I found some seriously almost dried out and desperately needing to be used coconut flakes that I will toast and throw into the batter. I wonder if I should soak that tonight also? Hmm. Can marshmallows be revived? Probably not by soaking.:D

Happy for you Mila - at least that's progress re the marshmallows seemingly putting them in a bag with a piece of bread works but so does adding a little water when you cook with them. Link here.

Morning lands, its sunny but my is the wind howling. Anyone might think I'm back up on the isles.

Kettle on and a plan to sort out a few things today. We'll see what we get done.

    Hope you're all good.

Great link! Thanks! And it tells me to store them in the freezer to keep them fresh. I had never heard that before. Old dogs can learn new tricks! :j

I'm aimlessly dithering here. Aside breakfast and an hour of work I've done nowt.

    So I need a list.

Wash on again and out to dry in wind/sun.
Concrete in two or three fence posts. (again)
Plant up the plants from work
Tidy kitchen 15 mins fly lady
    indoor mowing
Arrange to do something with DH tonight
Look over DS last report for uni

    fb message both kids
    walk mutts
drive out by free wood? Think about that one, its not on the 'way' to anywhere
    Sort more edibles, plant onions/shallots
Think about the big trees in the tub - its crazy windy here and they're lookign mentally unhappy
Contact man again about desk and see if we have to go down for it at weekend.

    Morning Pips & Co.

All this talk of marshmallows has convinced me that rice crispie squares are in our future - a partial bag of mallows from across the pond has made it's way home from work...and best bit is they are still fresh! - a look at the stores shows a fresh box of 'that' rice cereal and an opened (and maybe stale) box of knock off brand rice cereal...I'm tempted to make the squares using all the fresh stuff & find another use for the stale cereal...

...go on then Pips...tell me how to refresh the cereal!

...no chickens here but lots of birds at the feeders - maybe they eat stale cereal?

Working from home today - the first in a month! - no commute yeah!

    ...have blitzed the kitchen...
    ...filled the bird feeders...
...put out the recycle & trash...
...said good morning to the lambs & sheeps...
...watched a bunny eating daisies in our lawn...
...tracked the progress of the fledglings that are learning to fly & find their own food in our garden...
...life in the country is a little distracting!:D

    ...maybe e-mail is in order...
...the earlier I start the earlier I finish!:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

    Hi there RT
IF its stale as in soft a wee bit of oven action will sort it out (NB the BBQ will not help here) ;)

    http://www.lovefoodhatewaste.com/node/816

    or

Snack foods including cereal, chips, popcorn and crackers can be revived by simply putting them in the oven, according to Cozi, a website to help keep family life organized. Preheat your oven to 350 degrees F and put your stale snacks on a baking sheet. Bake them for three to five minutes

You can feed it to the birds I think often they say to sqish it fine and not to soak it. Something to do with stretching their poor tummies leave a drink nearby for them.

And man you've been busy so far my list includes

    fed chickens
    fed dogs
    put washing machine on
    made a cuppa

    here I am.

    :D

Yay to working from home days I'm planning an expedition to salvage my desk from pesky unreliable delivery folks.
