bbaked tattie with chilli (the veg not the stew) here - although a bit crunchy in places. lordy lord my microwaving skills are really not great.

I do love a cheese sarnie.

Distinct lack of cheese in my life at the moment.

Must make a wee list. Tea is bubbling away. Stock needs decanting into the freezer must see if we have any old bottles

Meatballs done with some reduced bbq marinade and dodgy looking spring onions - found some cooked rice in the freezer all good. Will make a wee side dish of veg/bread.

    Stock is reducing.

Soups x 2 made for his lunchs prawn. so and dumpling noodle and chicken dumpling and corn. Cooling in lunch boxes. All sorted. Braw.

  • Did an online order for the heavy stuff and laundry/dug fud etc £52 got a voucher to use up so its £50.

All good. Start of the new summer routine - delivered tomorrow at 4pm

Get to invoice for 16 (ish) extra hours of womble this month - which is ace as I'm only 7/hrs week generally. Also been offered it again for next year - so said yes please. Always nice to be asked.

New working regime starts on Monday 3 days in garden one at home rest is 'home time'

Sowed some seeds too - might do some online selling.

Suns out again = maybe time for some more wood chopping........those bays won't fill themselves.

    Hey up Pips!

Lunch today was interesting for once - not leftovers or a fasting day!

Monthly ladies who lunch day - where a few of us take a slightly longer lunch - company was lovely - meal was passable - veggie tempura with rice - some really strange side dishes & miso soup to start!

Dinner tonight is bbq chicken, steamed broccoli & potato wedges - yes despite the fact that it snowed/sleeted/rained today - at the end of April - we are going to bbq!!!:D

    First the trek home...

Trying to work up to changing bed sheets ready for my birthday tomorrow :D But flopping seems more appealing. But they are pretty embarrassingly in need of changing :o flylady wouldn't be impressed :o :rotfl: :rotfl:

  • Heavy physical labour can wipe you out for a few days. But getting free wood is so great, and you helped your parents. Win!

My eldest dau has been having her kitchen remodeled since NOVEMBER. All this time they have been without a kitchen and she has a 20 month old. She bought an electric hot plate, has a microwave, SC and rice cooker.
Yesterday, the builder told her they need more money. Olivia had custom cabinets made by some Cubans (I know...random) and three don't fit. The builder is having her guys size them correctly and of course needs to be paid for reworking them. Trouble is, no more money is in the building account. The builder will have to take payments. My poor DD was almost in tears when she called last night. She thought she could see the end of this ordeal approaching but no, not so quick there.
Overprepare, then go with the flow.

  • And the floppers have it. I watched chalet girl. Love that film and a bit of Bill Nigh never goes a miss.

Mila have a hug that sounds a bit full on for your DD - fingers crossed she gets it sorted.

The sun is out today and whilst I have an advert to write, I think today is an 'off' day. I'll peek at emails here and there but nothing is pressing except for the end of the month.

Been told to invoice this month for that extra project. Woop.

Online shop arrives today. Meal tonight is out of the freezer as the online shop had nothing 'live' in it only household and dry stuff.

    Perhaps spag bog or chicken.

Kettle is most certainly about to go on DH has left and its time for a cuppa.

Machine is whirring and its a lovely day so I might join cheery for a new birthday bed.
