Having just had a very cold salad for lunch all your Porridge sounds divine, I need something to warm me up my office is so cold, Its going to be boots and scarves next week I think.

My boss has just told me M and S do a new 'winter salad' whatever that is. Not like I can afford to browse M and S food aisles.

I had a heart to heart with DD last night about how she was obviously preparing for leaving to go to Uni by being horrid to me to drive me away. She let me help her with her personal statement after that!

    (no cleaning done in days...ooops)

  • Hugs for the cold salad - sorry its sunny here (eek) and its turned colder here that's for sure. Def autumnal boots weather.

DD's leaving home in my experience can be a tricky event so well done for talking to her (and to her for listening :D) I helped my son with his statement but didn't get near my daughters......

Hope you're both feeling closer for having a natter.

House here is at the 'it looks worse before it gets better stage' so I think its time to go into the garden. :D And as the carpets are wet - I can't possibly do any housework in any rooms.

Fly lady might kick me out.

Chook is roasted for later. Might do up some yorkies :) as we've plenty eggs and get some veg from garden.

  • Poor car needs a fair bit doing to it. But we've put nearly 30k miles on it this year. And its being serviced so all in all a bit of spends but the garage are pretty good.

C600 - eek but that's with annual service too.

OH and I are locked in negotiations for contributions as he uses it more than me.

Lunch scoffed (quorn curry) and two lunches done for next couple days.

Dishwasher back on. Washing machine on. I'm really going outside now.

    :)

PS chickens keep invading the house dogs cowering in their beds, life here is pretty random.......might need put chooks in run to help the dogs recover. They don't appear to appreciate 'free range'.

Haha I love the idea of the chooks scaring the dogs.

I've only got cats but when my neice visited with her dog my boys we're bouncing off the kitchen cabinets trying to get away. Daft things pets.

Me too Pink! And they do bounce don't they. Hope you're warmer today.

Well yesterday went whooosh and disappeared. I can account for an hour chopping wood, an hour of carpet cleaning and some gardening but not much. Did some cooking too. The day just vanished.

Had a date night - movie - The Martian - good and great to see a fellow botanist at the lead scientist :D

Back late. Put the heating on in one room (small bedroom) for half an hour as the fires weren't on and its was freezing.

But we saw two badgers. :D they don't half YOMP.

DH away with lunch today, mines is done. Roast chook tonight made the yorkie mix up so we're committed.

Car should come home today. Will pop into garage later.

Half hour womble work done and getting ready for 6 hours in garden.

Dugs and chooks fed. 2 eggs.

Must do banks and a bit of fly lady......

  • Fly lady mission.
Here is a really simple mission for you. Clear off the counter tops and flat surfaces, and put away the medicines, toothbrushes, and cosmetics. You know exactly what I am talking about here! Bathroom counters are hotspots for all of us, but we don't think of them as hotspots because we think we NEED the stuff, so we just let it sit. PUT THESE THINGS AWAY! Do not get sidetracked. Just get rid of the stuff that is on the counter tops and other flat surfaces.

Okay, Zone 4 is The Master Bedroom, Bathroom, and Closet. You all know where your favorite stash and dash spot is in there! I have a box that I do a stash and dash in that lives under my bed. Time to get to that spot and get it cleaned out. I am not talking about your whole closet, or everything under your bed. Maybe you have a drawer in your nightstand, or a box like I do! Don't go crazy; we are taking BabySteps here!

    Weekly wages in.
Paid £50 to each kid uni account.
DH paid me for half skiing and contribution to dd laptop £85 so that's gone to the cc
Spent 7 on £1 plants at work. (its a spending frenzy)

Paid remainder of wages on card £130.50 will go towards stuff on there.

Wages = gone. Will start timesheet today and put it in tomorrow. Do like weekly wages. But they do evaporate quickly.

    :D

MOrning :D Giggling at your pathetic doggies running away from chickens :D :rotfl:

Not done a single flylady thing this week :o:o Really struggle on the days I'm working even with 15 minutes (I mean, I don't struggle with TIME - I probably spend 15 mins a day at least messing about on here :o:o I struggle with the motivation to get off my backside and get on with it :o )

Still, working at home today (although I confess I've been for a run and not actually started yet...) Maybe I'll do 15 mins in the attic in between bits of work :j

Is Martian good? I'm off to see it next week and am intrigued at the idea of having a botanist role in a Hollywood film - is that a first???
    Trying to keep in budget.
