Hey chaps yup thank you. Its 36 hours and flexi working. So there is room for a bit of flowery stuff whether its at home or online....
I've got the job spec and tbh i don't think I'm qualified in the right way for what they're looking at, the skills they want in the background are my primary skills IYSWIM - but I might apply.
Still not sure I'm the right fit at my current job, but we'll see, not sure how to make that feel better right now. Its not dreadful, its just not a great fit with my colleague and direction is limited (until you do something out of their fashion of working, then direction is pretty forthcoming) I think I'm just use to either clearer instructions, ownership of tasks or working on my own. I'm feeling a bit blindsided at times, volunteers turn up with no notice (to me) which are planned etc.
I'm not knee jerking right now, but we'll see. I'm feeling a bit grumblesome, which isn't like me. Or maybe it is :P
I did get paid finally though, but only a few days late, maybe this is the source of my grumbles. Or it could be this dreadful weather.
Reduced spends last night £9.30 but involved fish/chicken/pate and some bonios.Total debt 26/4/18 <£1925 we were getting there.
Total debt as of 28/4/19 £7867.38:eek:

If you are *interested* in enough elements of the work, and have the time to make the application (I know applications are taking on 'war&peace' tome like status these days), then make the application for the job. If the work is what you want, you'll make it work for you. I have a friend who applied for a job 5 or 6 yrs ago now. On paper, you could not see the fit, but the organisation knew her and her track record. She worked from the get go to get up to speed on the areas she was deficient in, and made a great success of the stuff that she was already *qualified* to do (and brought to the organisation to *shake* it up a bit
). She has since moved on in the same organisation, and has specifically taken a masters course to assist with her role. She chose one unit on the basis it was so cutting edge, that few people know about the technology anyway - she has instantly elevated herself up to be one of the experts in that field. It's all 'doable' - it depends whether it lights your fire in the first place.........

.
You'd have to be a saint to not be affected by the weather at the minute - and i'm pretty sure that Scotland has been bearing the brunt of the carp stuff for quite a few weeks
Take care you - we're all here to cheer you on!

Thank you I will ponder more today. I like the team (those of them I know) and I like the direction of the work. I'll really think this through today.
I'm not fitting a fair chunk of the 'essential' but am a fair bit of the desirable. Ponder central. Interesting to hear about your friend thank you.
As to this weather. Sunny not arctic later, its certainly changable.
:rotfl:
Have a good un folks.

Hey Pips - can I borrow the pups and the sofa near the fireplace? - In need of a cuppa & nap under the blankie! (OK technically have been working from home but that makes me more tired that actually going in!?!)
Only red-stickered bargains to be had lately have been posh burgers 4/£1 - OH found them at Mr W and puffed up like a proud peacock - so I told him he could make dinner
Final move of us & the bed & the cloths to the new place this weekend - There is not a grocery store anywhere near the new place - but two plant nursery come farm shop type places! - local veg is super cheap - mega cauli to feed a small army only 90p and hot house cucs & toms already up for sale this early in the season - going for a song - think we will be turning into veggies as the butchers prices made me do this  OH spotted an eggs for sale sign down the road at one of the farms & there are a lot of sheep in the fields so maybe the local farmer would do us a deal?
You'll have to remind me that there shall be no buying of plants!!!!!;) (other than the hanging baskets that are already budgeted for) - have rescued (dug up) my rosemary & thyme plants and wondering how to take some sage and a bit of the bay tree to propogate - any advise oh wise plant guru?
Pips - I agree with all our lovely stripy gang ladies! - Apply and see what happens - if it's meant to be that it will be yours - if not, then you've had the experience of the application process & learned from it!:)4 YEARS 10 MONTHS DEBT FREE!!! (24 OCT 2016)(With heartfelt thanks to those who have gone before us & their indubitable generosity.)...and now I have a mortgage! (23 AUG 2021)New projection - 14 YEARS 8 MONTHS LEFT OF 20 YEARS (reduced by 16 mths)Psst...I may have started a diary!0
