Pippi - this isn't quite what you meant, when you asked about healthy flapjack recipes. But you made me think about a library book I have and there is THIS recipe in it. I think you could possibly customise it to how you wanted - ie put fruit and nuts or choc chips in it - chia seeds are actually quite expensive, I'm afraid I would have to leave them out if I made this :( But does it move towards the sugar-free 'something' that you were looking for? I think it a misnomer to call it bread - you have to spread it out in the pan - that's more like flapjack mix :D I wonder what would happen too if you left some of the oats whole?

Mmmm, might have a sperry-ment meself with this recipe :D

Forgot to ask - wik popped into my thoughts today, don't know why, but hope all well :D

Oh Greying you bluebell hunter (now imaging you with a wide brimmed hat and binoculars and a net (why I don't know). :D

Both those look lovely thank you. I might 'customise' as you say.

Trying to cut down on refined sugar as we're both spreading in our honeymoon phase, so those looked yummy. I must try hm oatcakes again which of course aren't cakes as much as that stuff isn't bread.

    Cheery - cheese-jacks :)

Thank you both for answering my plight.

Bargains none to be had aside a free train ticket yesterday. :) And a trip to a chum and a free bit of nosh. :) all good.

Dug lots of border today (7m) for the rasps with a south facing fence I think that's just the ticket for them.

Also done a new blog :) which I know its been a while. Its a full confessional :)

Going to check out a second hand sofa bed today for the music room, which is far posher than it sounds as its a bedroom (allegedly) with all the instruments in it.

    Banks to check first.

    I couldn't possibly tell.

    :D

Are you hunting real bluebells or pesky hybrids.

    ALL BONNIE!

But I think the 'real ones' are supposed to smell better according to plant life and are getting squeezed by the hybrid....

I have been watching the 'get me to chelsea programme' which I've enjoyed but I have to say I'd rather it was a bit more like ready steady cook

here's a bag of bricks, some plants and some wood, what can you create.

Far more enjoyable I think than the current format, but then again I'm a bit of a grump about stuff like that. Jealous, moi :)

BTW stripey gardeny type update here.

    Expect recycling. :)

Its still woefully untidy cheery and the veg garden is still under construction but I guess lifes like that eh?

Both hounds tip a paw. Its raining here.

BTW the sofa bed is for the music room

    :D

We now sleep around 14 which is crazy for a household of two.

    Empty nest, moi? :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

    :rotfl: you daft woman :D

Paw-tipping returned (with extra bonios) Made me laugh the other day - we'd had our furry pal here and he'd had some Bonios on the floor - thought I'd picked them all up but another friend's dog came round a few days later and managed to find one and was happily crunching away :rotfl:

Life is indeed like that :D I'm contemplating filling my entire garden with forget-me-nots :j Friend's garden (that I'm meant to be growing veg in) is entirely full of them, and mine is full of bare soil and weeds - thinking a little transplanting is in order... (especially as I actually BOUGHT some forget-me-nots in B&Q a few weeks ago! :rotfl: )
