Or it may mean he was making it clear he doesn't do flings

I don't think the OP is all that into him however so they may just be on different pages.

None of it sounds weird. A little cheesy/laddish maybe, but not weird or very unusual.

I have to say, if it takes you 6 months to even kiss a boyfriend, you're bound to find pretty much any form of affectionate/relationship-y behaviour "too fast"!

Are you even into him? It doesn't really sound like you are from your first post. This could explain the cringy feelings at his behaviour too.

i actually like him and enjoy spending time with him, i even look forward to going to the gym knowing im going to see him but i feel like i'm not being given a chance for my feeling to develop at their own pace (granted it might be snail pace:rotfl:) seems like a case of the hare and the tortoise and i end up freaking out thats why i wanted to get other people's opinions because i know im slightly weird :rotfl:

If he is moving too fast for you then he's moving too fast for you; it doesn't overly matter what other people think.

You need to talk to him about your thoughts and be honest with him. If he's a fast mover/quick to settle down whereas you take a long time to get comfortable to kiss a partner then you sound like you are very, very different and you'll both have to work out if you are able and prepared to change to accommodate the other's way of doing things or if you can find a compromise that suits you both.

i just realised this is going to make me sound like i am not interested in him. i am. i just find it very hard to be physical with people initially because i was abused when i was younger so i totally freak out! however after the first hurdle i am totally fine and comfortable with affection and intimacy its just getting there that scares the life out of me!
