"Get 2 years free Sky Broadband Unlimited when you activate your new home of European Football - Sky Sports 5, available at no extra cost as part of the standard price of your Sky Sports package. Our Sky Sports customers could take Sky Broadband Unlimited and save £330* over 2 years compared to BT. Immerse yourself in the widest range of top-class European Football with action from the UEFA Champions League, La Liga, European Qualifiers and more.
Plus, get 2 years free Sky Broadband Unlimited - totally unlimited with absolutely no usage limits."
This also applies to existing broadband customers - I've just done it so I am saving £7.50 a month for 2 years.
Only issue is that you're tying yourself into a contract for 2 years, but as it is going to be free (except line rental, but I had that anyway as I have the phone deal too) I can't see the problem.
Sky Sports Bundle + Sky Broadband Unlimited
£51 £32.75
a month for 6 months.
then £43.50 for a further 18 months
£51 a month thereafter
+ Sky Line Rental (£15.40 a month)

They are being abit fly here .
If i activate sky sports 5 without the broadband i will tie myself into a new 12 month deal.
I knew there was something fishy when they are asking customers to activate the channel themselves rather than just adding it to current sport packages as per thier usual method0 -

I've signed up to a new 18-month period for my Sky Talk, Broadband and Line Rental. To be fair, I'm not that bothered about it as my Sky Talk is free, my broadband will be free so I get those two and my Line Rental for £15.40 per month, which isn't too bad.Our Rainbow Twins born 17th April 2016

For me, I already had Sky Sports so it was a simple decision. I suppose if you haven't got it then it doesn't sweeten the deal as much. Our Rainbow Twins born 17th April 2016

The La Liga deal runs out after next season (new winner tba), as does Skys Champions League coverage.
This is a panic move by Sky, that has received much derision by city analysts. And to get the 2 year free BB deal one needs to take their line rental as well.0 -
I've been doing some digging on this and found out the following - Sky Broadband is not required to receive SS5.
Sky line rental is required to receive the free two year BB offer.
The BB lock in contract is 18 mths for existing customers, 12 mths for new.
Registration is not required either. Existing SS users will get it anyway. So why they either require or request registration of said interest is opaque, to say the least. On the surface it looks like a panic attack. Time will tell I suppose.0 -
Isn't the registration required so you lock yourselves into a new tv deal with Sky? That's what I read somewhere.0
