Money boxes! Fines for stopping in yellow boxes

Live near there. Driven up there hundreds of times, never got caught in the box.

It suggests a few things to me :-


1) the linked google streetview is NOT the one one Ginger is talking about
2) the linked google streetview is actually out of date, and is NOT the one even the OP is talking about (well it is, but it's different)
3) we have no clue what Ginger is actually talking about at all .... so therefore very easy to quote simple "rules". that might not apply in principle.
4) The people that post, are often doing so from atop a high horse

I was referring to the OP, the google picture is of the right place (although outdated, the box is where it says keep clear outside the fire station), and it is certainly not impossible to avoid getting caught in the box there. No idea what/where Ginger is on about.

Funny how saying traffic laws should be obeyed means you are on a high horse.

Would have thought that the importance of fire engines being able to get out of fire stations was fairly self evident.

well said harveybobbles it`s so frustrating not being able to go through the green lights when the yellow box is full of vehicles it`s just laziness in my view,I wish there were more cameras up here

I too got caught out today but my issue is slightly different. I stopped on a keep clear sign. I never actually saw it. The box junction is clearly behind me in their photo.
Can I appeal?

Can you upload the photo? tinypic.com will allow you to upload it to share.

You may want to delete your cars registration number use paint or a bit of paper over the photo.

Ah, Wandsworth traffic system... the rsole of the motoring world. I've been through it 100s of times and I'm sure there could be improvements to make the traffic flow better.
