Money boxes! Fines for stopping in yellow boxes

And again, you confuse your impatience with a lack of choice.
For god's sake man, take some responsibility for your choices, stop blaming others for your law breaking.
Did I say I was law breaking? Don't think so! I'm reporting an observation. The box junction in question (mine, not the OP's) and the general road layout and other factors is well known locally as a problem.0 -
So that would be, "obey the law and don't move for an hour". Meanwhile a queue a mile long (literally) has built up behind you.
So, you're happy enough with your solution. You break the law. Anyone that catches you breaking the law is a scammer. Don't pay, go to court if it's that black and white for you. If you convince the judge, you'll be fine.0 -
I wish they'd bring cameras into use in Manchester city centre. Motorists are all too happy to block the tram tracks at junctions which are clearly marked with yellow boxes. Its not like the trams can steer round them!0

Use the bus?0

Has the OP been back on here yet? Lol..
the link I posted was just a rought guess from their description. IT might not be correct, but I suspect it is.0 -
I was expecting a very busy junction with several sideroads where people would nick the space you intended to use before entering the junction.
But that looks to be a couple of car lengths at most.Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0 -

If you don't move for an hour, then it's because the traffic in front of you hasn't moved for an hour. So you still wouldn't have moved for an hour - the only difference is whether you don't move for an hour whilst blocking the junction or not.
Sigh! No, the traffic in one direction keeps moving (slowly), from the other direction it can't get a look in - unless each car encroaches into the box.
Ok, it's a bit complicated and you really need to be at the junction in question to see how it doesn't work properly at peak times.
Box junctions are all very well in theory, but in practice some are wrongly located, and due to local circumstances it can mean that they effectively block one direction completely, unless the drivers coming from that direction "break the law".
I'll wrap up my contribution to this thread now. If anyone really is interested in the box junction I'm talking about, PM me and I'll give you location details, but it's boring stuff0 -
If so, I don't see how you can get stuck here?[/QUOTE]
That's the place but it's an old photo. The road markings have now changed and the yellow box is all across the road and takes a huge area. The area gets so congested that sometimes you get boxed in.0 -
Dont enter the box until the exit is clear and you dont get boxed in. Leave a bigger gap between yourself and the car in front?
If someone overtakes you then let then have the fine instead.Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0
