Yes it will carry on. November is only 5 months away, it is going to take a lot more than 5 months to sort this lot out, in fact, if the Tories come back after the election, I bet you that Duncan Smith will be sacked, if Labour win or even UKIP they are going to inherit a lot of debt and an unworkable system, with a DWP with very few experienced staff.

so what is happening with new pip claims? i have just sent the form off

Oh trust me you can. If any team is lacking work they will ship work from all over the place, and if they aren't doing, it's poor management. I should know, it was only last year I was doing work shipped in from other offices.

And you are not permitted to play games on any device during working hours, only at lunch and break times.

All of our other departments are working at full strength, due to the fact that most of our office staff have been shipped over there. We honestly do not have any other work to do, and other office managers, are not happy with us just drifting in, starting a job then disappearing, that is why we are only a skeleton staff at the moment. And as for being allowed to play games only at lunch or break times, the whole day is a break time, and as it is well known that we have no work, no one does anything about it.

If you are already receiving PIP which only a part of the country is, then it will just carry on, if it is a new claim, then I am afraid it will be a bit of a wait.

No it is not my name, those of you on PIP at the moment will be the only ones, it is all going to revert back to DLA, this is why people who are applying for PIP are being send DLA forms out. We have had to stop all the contracts with the Doctors, because we can not hold appeals.

I received a letter on Friday stating that I now have to claim PIP as my DLA is due for renewal. I followed the letter and phoned up the call centre today to stat the PIP claiming procedure and was told that the PIP application form would now be sent out.

Are you saying that I will actually receive a DLA application form instead of the PIP one I am expecting, jennyjenkins?

I am at a loss to understand why an application to apply for PIP has been sent to me, if I will not be applying for PIP. It will be interesting to see which forms are sent out to be filled in.
Dear Lord, I am calling upon you today for your divine guidance and help. I am in crisis and need a supporting hand to keep me on the right and just path. My mind is troubled but I will strive to keep it set on you, as your infinite wisdom will show me the way to a just and right resolution. Amen.

Yes it will be interesting to find out what they are going to do. because if you are already on DLA they may keep you on it. PIP forms are going out, but it is DLA people are receiving.

They have to give you a time limit 14 weeks is the time limit, before you can start chasing up your claim. it used to be 12 weeks.

I would just be careful how much you're saying on here, I heard quite a few stories about people being dismissed for sharing things on social media, and then you won't get redundancy.

I am pretty gobsmacked by this thread. When you think about how much money the welfare system costs our country I hate to see waste like JJ is detailing here.
My youngest gets DLA and it has made such a Huge difference as I am able to do things for him that I just couldn't afford without it. His award runs until next May so i imagine I will get papers through to reapply for whatever the named benefit is next January/February-ish? It will be interesting to see what happens!
