They're currently rolling it out - see their Store FAQ's:

Apologies if this has already been mentioned, but I haven't the time to wade through all the points made so far!

If you want Tesco Clubcard points, go for the Tesco Clubcard Plus account as this gives you 2 points for every £1 you spend in Tesco stores (it can only be used in Tesco stores), whereas this Current Account will give you a 'very generous' (!) 1 point for every £4 you spend.
Thank you for reading this message.

I didn't think you can get it any more?

A couple of questions for existing Tesco savings account holders:

Did you apply for the new current account(s) while logged in, or not?
If not, did it automatically link the current account(s) to your existing accounts immediately?

I hate Tesco internet banking with a vengeance so am trying to minimise my pain :o

I applied while logged in saves you having to input most of your details. It is showing under my savings accounts that my application for a current account is being processed. Gives date the application was made.

if you are not logged in, they detect you already have an account or two with them and ask you to log in to continue with the application.

sort of. You don't get a sort code and account number, they just acknowledge you have made an application or two.
