Need some more savings accounts, so thinking of Tesco current account as it pays 3% upto £3000, from reading this thread sounds like no minimum monthly payment needed. Could anyone tell me if they still required 2 DDs and if so will ones to their instant saver be ok. Also been trying to find out how many you can have, single, or single+joint.
There has never been a requirement for DDs with Tesco current accounts.

A couple can have 2 sole accounts each, or one sole account each and one joint account.

This is according to my memory. You'd do better to check with Tesco.

This is probably the easiest credit interest current account without minimum payment or Direct Debit requirements. I've had two sole accounts before and that's the max I believe but as others say do check. Good app too in my view. They don't normally do switching incentives but they have been known to invite some to switch by email on selected customers for £100 but they haven't done this for a while. Highly recommended.

Thanks just applied for one each and will sort out another one each if possible, first two went through easy - maybe having had savings accounts with them helps.

Never really fancied Tesco but needs must - ISA rates so low

Tesco current accounts are marvellous as feeder accounts for 5% or even 6% regular savers.
  • Cannot find anything on TB website relative to account fee or minimum monthly payment. In fact it expressly states 'no monthly fee'

Many regular savers do require you to fund them by SO from a linked current account with the same bank.

So..... you simply fund that current account, from the Tesco current account, rather than leave £250/£300/£500 earning no interest while waiting to go into the regular saver;)
